Tigers are hoping for a really stupid GM and owner to take Cabrera, Verlander, Upton, and Zimmermann off their hands. Sadly, the only GM that would be interested in the contracts of those players is employed by the Tigers.

Upton contract isn't bad. The reason he's untradeable is because of the opt out.
