Good signing. I like how that kid plays. Can't believe all it took was Methot. I like Methot's rough style, but I never thought he'd get back Foligno on a 1-for-1 trade.

Good pay raise for him. He and his father are probably jumping for joy.

Columbus is a little out of the way, taking the family down to Washington state first and then over to Idaho (another Clark W. Griswald family vacation).
Great Wolf Lodge first and then Silverwood in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

I've been to Oregon and Montana, but never Washington and Idaho. Have a great time! I'm sure it's lovely there this time of year - I love being in the North (or the "south" for you I suppose ;) ) this time of year.

While you are in Idaho, I found a place you should stop by that I think you are going to love.

Little known fact: Great Wolf Lodge... not actually a lodging for wolves. Me and Lobo the King of Currumpaw had to stay at a Holiday Inn.

One of my favorite places I have ever visited. My God it is beautiful there.

I kinda dug Spokane and Seattle too. Not enough to move to Seattle, but I liked it.

Nice pay raise for Nick. And he's the type that will play up to his contract, put in the effort. Pleased as punch. He's been saying the right things too.

He said the other day that he's been on teams that didn't have real high expectations, and he thinks there's no better feeling than surprising the "experts" and he hopes to convey that feeling in the locker room. He said he feels the team is already better than they are getting credit for.

He also said Rick Nash was the second Jacket to call him after Jack Johnson...FWIW

that's the water-slide place?
I'll need a full report when you get back. My kid is getting peer pressured to go there.

Oh and Dash, there is a link on that site...

Crazy Customer Photos! Our customers are out of control with their mules, see how much fun they all have.

Don't click on it, you're gonna be disappointed with their standard of "out of control."

I've actually been there a couple of times before and my daughters really like it (which is why we're going back again). I think it's a little pricey, but the water slides are a ton of fun and depending on the crowds, it's not too much of a wait. Outlet shopping is close by in Centralia, Washington for the wife as well.

Puck: C'mon, take me to Great Wolf Lodge! You know I love waterslides. Please, please, please can we go?
Lil' Puck: I only have like $12 in my piggy bank, dad.

Dash should just change the title to "Where are you going on summer vacation?"

To complete the circle, there is a Great Wolf Lodge in downtown Columbus, and Nick... fo-LEEN-o can go there any time with the big money he just got.

Me and the lil 43s prefer CoCo Key, a completely DIFFERENT indoor water park.
