The Phillies are now 3 for 55 in their last two games. Can somebody calculate that batting average for me. I think that comes out to. 50. Wow! A half a hit every 10 at bats. A bunch of females could at least do that.

And there are people on this board who think they will win more then 70 games and make a playoff run, lol...

It would help if fatass JPop could reinvigorate himself into a Juan Pierre clone and fatass Ryan could somehow assume the personage of Big Papi. All things are possible sometimes.

75 wins has been my prediction all along. 75 wins is no where near playoff contention.

Woah, woah, woah, there.

You have been telling us that Rollins and Howard's rebound is a sure thing.

Yes, both will rebound in my fanish crystal ball. But the Pierre / Papi "clones" are my dream. Obviously JPop won't hit .300 and Ryan might be awfully lucky to hit 24(?).

jvett, I believe you are in fantasy land here.

That's why the Phillies are a solid long shot to win the East. But what if, Howard and Byrd do back to back 25 HRs, and what if Lee and Kendrick each have an 18 win season? Seems remote but still at least slightly possible.

Thee Phillies will need Lee,Burnette, and Hamels to lead the way. Kendrick needs to pitch a little better than last year. Nobody knows what the bullpen has in store. I don't expect them to hit well in the early going but I think they will eventually click until the injuries start. This is the toughest Phillies team to make a prediction on. I see them with a losing record but I hope otherwise.
