One more thought: I think it's safe to retire the "Revis Island" rhetoric.

There was a Revis Island at some point but now its clearly a vacation spot. One more thought: I think it's safe to retire the "Revis Island" rhetoric.

Jets are a classic team that needs to watch the age of its players. IIRC they are one of the oldest teams in the league and regression happens quickly sometimes.
I didn't see the game either but I think the stat is the Dalton was 10/10 going towards Revis with 152Yds and 1TD.I didn't see the game, but if he was man up on AJ all game...yes, Revis Island is closed!
Solid win for CIN on the road...especially giving up 7 sacks.

Very specifically there were some very bad pass defenses in week 1.1) Looks like there are some really bad defenses out there. Just seemed like the offenses dominated more so than the defenses this year where last year that was the complete opposite.

For some reason I'm reminded of Rob Ryan talking about everyone trying to copy Seattle's defense and they are sucking with it. There is probably a lot of film of physical CB/S hybrids getting destroyed on crossing patterns and deep throws. Even Seattle should've lost due the Miami WR dropped the easy TD.
It does look like olines are getting the upper hand again finally. Lots of NFL teams have been drafting oline for awhile now and maybe there are some dividends finally coming to fruition there.
The only team that seems like they want to run the ball a ton is the Rams.
Yeah, they gave up at least 2 big plays where the DBs simply dropped coverage of their player for no reason. Its weird that Andy Reid has a fantastic record after bye weeks but sometimes comes out totally flat to start the season.Chiefs were playing a lot of combo coverages in that first half. I think they got way too cute and probably outsmarted themselves with their gameplan on both sides of the ball.
Yep, predictable problem with young players and backups when trying to run combo coverage. Just run underneath routes and that coverage is going to fold like a cheap suit. Pretty telling that gaps and coverage magically got a lot better in the 2nd half.Yeah, they gave up at least 2 big plays where the DBs simply dropped coverage of their player for no reason. It is but the Chargers also lost their 2nd best player, too. Also have to factor in Whisenhunt being back in the fold might have given the Chargers a bit more pop to surprise the Chiefs at the start.Yep, predictable problem with young players and backups when trying to run combo coverage. Don't worry, the Browns will fire Jackson after 2 or 3 years. Marvin can hang on that long.- Cleveland ... Another QB down. At this point, you can't even make a joke about it. Hue was better off staying in Cincinnati until a better opportunity opened up. Hell, Bengals win a playoff game, or two, I could have seen Marvin retiring (he's been hinting at it for a bit now) and taken over the Bengals.
-Impressed with the Dolphins and Ravens defenses so far.
-Vikes defense deserves credit for doing it all for the Vikes against the Titans.
-NE without their 2 best players looked really good and Garoppolo was impressive.
-The Colts has some serious secondary issues with so many going down yesterday.
-The curse on SD receivers continues and is unlike anything I have ever seen!
