I think he is riskier than most Chiefs fans want to believe. The youth/upside is nice, though, but Karlaftis is super young, too, and too many of those types of players might suggest a little more of a rebuild than what I think the Chiefs have in mind.
Yeah, Karlaftis is young AND green, being relatively new to the sport. That could mean a lot of upside, but also a learning curve. Good value pick though. McDuffie was also great value (was hoping he would slide to the Bills).

Apparently Elam was the last player with a first round grade on the Bills board (for their team and needs).

What? I'm no Ravens fan.
I never said you were. Saying they pissed off Lamar, not good but it’s not like he is a great passer anyway. I’m sure they will address WR in this draft and/or FA

This could be why LAR don't pick until the 3rd round?

I like many think this was a reach. But most pundits had him going in the 70s and 80s.

Snead and McVay auditioning for a new comedy duo.
Yeah, Rams used their first on a SB winning QB. Crazy.

Worst move of the draft EASILY has to be Arizona giving up a 1st round pick for the right to hand Hollywood Brown a contract he isn’t worth.

Although maybe I am just bitter because my new Vikings GM 1st move in the draft was to make a trade down for a shockingly low return on value. Basically handed a division rival a blue chip player for nothing in return.

True but at least the Pack have Cobb, Watkins, and Lazard.

Don't know who those Ravens WR's are.
I like Proche, Duvernay and Bateman, but ideally they would have one or two of those guys paired with proven vets.

Losing Hollywood may sting, but it's not like he's a dominant, reliable target. He's a Kirk replacement for the Cards and an attempt to smooth things over with Kyler, but it's still all about Hopkins there.

I do like McDuffie more than Elam but the Chiefs did lose two draft picks trading up and this draft is deep enough for that to matter.

Yeah, a lot of WR talent still on the board (including some I might prefer over the last 2 drafted last night), and Lamar always throws to his TE anyway. A solid release valve like Beasley could be a solid value for many teams, surprised he's still out there (maybe his contract expectations are too high?).

Yeah, I didn't like the Bills giving up a 4th to move up two picks, but in reality it will be tough to find roster spots for 8 draft picks.

I was also wondering why Vikings made trade with Lions... thought that was taboo in the NFL to trade with division rivals.

Read elsewhere questioning Lions thought process as well however... focusing on 1 player rather than building their roster with Day 2 picks as they need more talent overall.

Bills roster is pretty stacked. It's why that RB in rd1 rumor was floating around

The Ravens had a heck of a first round. They draft so well. Arizona...well, let me just say they must have a midget fetish.

We'll see how it goes. Honestly I like the idea of improving the pass rush and getting Chris Jones some help out there. Spags kinda runs an aggressive style defense and we definitely need the personnel to pull that kinda thing off...

Sure, that and the need to see RBs drafted early. CB was a pretty big need, and they have costly decisions coming up at LB, TE and S. Adding depth at those positions to smooth out those potential transitions is a nice level to be at in the draft.
