Who treats him like a 30ppg player?

How come you focus on Duncan being a center, but not Garnett? Isn't Garnett a center too? He's the same height as Duncan.

I take it back a little. You did focus on both Duncan and Garnett here:

Well, only in your second paragraph.

In your third paragraph, you only focused on Duncan again.

Not yet. He’ll get better. His free-throw percentage jumped but his free throws per game dropped.

But I will say, my magic number is 25 points per game at least two seasons. None of this Duncan or Garnett one hit wonders. I’m obviously kidding, but I dislike averaging 20 to 23 points per game being treated like more than it is. It’s hard to average 25+. I was afraid Malone was going to ruin his career average.

To explain why those two only have one season between them both above 25 and two in total 24.2+ seasons is no John Stockton or more scoring help by others, minutes restriction, system, or being involved in other things. Malone has more points and assists than Duncan and comparable for rebounds, considering Duncan is taller. Blocks, no.

He a good player, great, HOF. But some act like like he’s better than I think he is. I’m not sure how good I think he is but just sometimes they gushed too much and talked too much about it. I look at his stats and I like his assists, but he and Duncan averaged over 25 PPG like 1-3 times total between the two. Malone averaged 25 his entire career but many put Duncan above him because of team championships. Fine, as a player, but I don’t like it as a PF.

But since he's a Center, do you like it as a center?

I think Garnett, and Duncan, get their accolades also because of their defense, although they did it in a little different way than Malone did it. Especially since they are center, while Malone is a PF.

Duncan had blocks and rebounds, Garnett had assists and steals and rebounds, and Malone had assists and steals.

The centers get their accolades for their wingspans too.

Also, I know this was just 3 games, but I like the series stats of Nowitzki and Garnett in this one. It's always been my favorite, arguably the best series of either player's career.

Malone not making a 1st team defense until 1997 is mind boggling.

Someday, I'll watch a good playoffs series from Malone, like I did from Stockton last summer.

Steve Nash shot 440 FTs for his playoffs career, and missed 44.

Ben Simmons has shot 67 FTS in this post season alone, and missed 45.

17 - 19 for Giannis Antetokounmpo!

Take Note, Rudy. I don't think Rudy can have these kind of important FT shooting games. He doesn't seem to rise up to that level.

Pop Quiz: Why is this blowout game in this thread?

Because.......
Russell Westbrook went 1 for 3 on FT's in the game.
He also had 11 rebounds, & 13 assists.....but finished with just 9 points.

So, it looks like he missed a triple double, because he missed 2 FT's (all he needed was1 more made )

(btw: those were the only 2 FT's the Lakers missed as a team. ( they went 17 for 19 )

I saw that, but thought @MHSL82 was looking for something else.

I think I thought he was looking for a simple answer.

Yeah so was I....but then after further review of that box score, I thought what's more simple than the obvious...and there it was.

I swear I am NOT stalking you (2 imported quotes to this board in one week), but this is the perfect thread for this…

No problem - it’s the truth. A professional NBA player in that situation just has to make his free throws. No excuses. Everything changes if he does… and nothing good happens if he doesn’t.
