Wish it had been zero. Still, I think 2 is the fewest I've seen.

Or maybe it was the biggest differential, 7 to 46.

Do we need to change this thread to "You Don't Have To Make Your Free Throws"? :(

Because Denver shot 13-23 and still won the game.

Maybe it is you have to be aggressive to get free throws or layups? I didn’t see the game or the box score so I don’t know if they were aggressive in that sense or whether Miami had more free throws than 23.

Jazz down by one with 1.3 seconds to go, Orlando shooting. Plans to miss but makes the second one, allowing the Jazz to have the full clock. You’ve Got to Miss Your Free Throws.

Lauri Markkanen went 0/2. You've Got To Make Your Free Throws.

Maybe it should be changed to “The Jazz Got to Make Their Free Throws (If the Situation Calls for It) and To Hell with Everyone Else.”

I usually don't like the intentional missed FT. It rarely works.

Most of the time, the FT shooter bounces it off the backboard without it touching the rim, which results in a violation, and the other team gets the ball.

Fox shot 9-17, and Sacramento shot 27-42, and won the game.

Lorraine Harris-Fox, De'Arron's mom, shot 93% on FTs at Arkansas - Little Rock.

@MHSL82, your quote about trees and apples is wrong.

Lauri Markkanen, you've got to make your free throws. You were not The Finnisher tonight.

Markkanen misses a free throw against the Wizards.

I said the Finnisher was supposed to show up, now the Free Throw Misser.

New Rule: Technicals do not offset. So if there’s a double technical, both teams should be able to shoot a free-throw. If there are two technicals on one team, and one on the other, everyone still shoots their technicals. I mean, it rewards the team that is a better free throw shooter and you still get to pick your best shooter on the court to take the shot and so there would be no gamesmanship of geating a technical on purpose. I also don’t think would happen very often so it couldn’t be abused or make games much longer.

I agree. I've never understood why this isn't the case.

Sometimes there's 3 technicals at the same time, one on a coach, one on a player from team X, one on a player from Team U.

Shoot them all.

Well, don’t you think that’s a little harsh? Just because they lost their temper doesn’t mean you should shoot them. I think free throws would be sufficient. Maybe a fine if they get ejected.

I think they can handle a Nerf dart.
