How would he have time for anything else?

Honestly, he’s one of the luckiest TEs to ever play. Do you think someone like Greg Olsen would be in the GOAT conversation, had he played his entire career for Andy Reid and most of it with Patrick Mahommes rather than with the bears and panthers?
Not a terrible comparison in that Olsen was actually quite solid for a long time. If we're going into interesting hypotheticals, imagine if Tony G played with Brady instead of Gronk. Tony G and Brady played for so long that the stats wouldve been completely untouchable.

Kelce does show up in big games. He is a legit HOF. Tony G and Kellen Winslow I think probably deserve the most credit, though. I think most people who saw Winslow play put him on a pedestal. He was the prototype. Kelce 3rd. Gates 4th. Gronk 5th. That would probably be my top tier of modern TEs. Not really sure you can compare the position to older TEs.

You could add Casper and Whitten to the list and make arguments for all of them, but I honestly believe in enjoying the greatness of all of them. They brought their special talent and dominated at the highest level, so sit back and enjoy. No need to compare and try to compile a list of reasons why one is better than the other.

If we are talking old school TEs to play this day & age.
I would mention Kellen Winslow. (the real one LOL)

Anybody else surprised to see Edelman at #3?

I still say Gronk was the scariest TE of all-time. I mean he was a freak . 92 TD’s in 137 games is nasty work

I still don't consider Kelce a TE....

Doesn't mean I do not think he is an amazing player

Not really. He was the other half of Gronk, basically.
Only had 6,822 yards in his regular-season career, #174 on that list.

I think Gronk got injured once or twice in the playoff runs IIRC and Edelman had to step up
