I assumed it was the same sign. I rewatched it last night and did notice some new growth. Not a ton and could of have just been the slightly different camera angles of the two scenes.


The marking on the tree is certainly a mystery at this point. I read on some chat forum where people thought it was a similar marking to what Morgan used on his chalk map on the wall back in 'Clear'. I checked and there really wasn't any obvious similar markings on the map. There were circles with Xs, but those appeared to be a typical tree symbol on a map.

Forgot about that part, but that might answer another question I had. I found Gareth's talk with him at the end a bit confusing. I wasn't sure if Bob was part of that group before or not. I was thinking that he must have been otherwise I'm not sure what I missed as to why it was so significant that he was the one they caught. Now that you reminded me about the crying, I'm pretty sure he must have been. Either he knew what he was leading the group into and was crying for that reason, or he left them before they became cannibals and was crying for what they became. I'm thinking it must have been the former because why else hide that he knew those people.

A few ideas here...

1) Bob was with the other group that originally took over Terminus. He escaped while the Termites retook the camp, thus his being the only survivor. Maybe he left beforehand, when he saw what kind of people they were (think Daryl and the Claimers). He appears to know Gareth, though...

2) He was a Termite, planted within the Prison. This doesn't make a lot of sense, though. He hung out out the prison for a long time, and didn't seem to be much of a wrangler getting everyone to Terminus.

3) He has some other kind of connection to Terminus. Maybe he made some kind of pact with the Termites while they were captives. Not sure when that could have happened, though.

4) There is no connection to the Termites and he was crying about something else entirely.

I'm going w/ 1 & 4.

I think he was outside crying because he got bit by that underwater walker when they were at the food bank.....and if that's so, then that means Gareth and his buddies are also doomed...(w/o being too obvious for spoiler sake if you catch my drift)



Also.....it's gonna get crazy if or when Daryl & Carol catches up w/ that car he last saw being used to abduct Beth.

Bob basically said good bye to Sasha after Abrahams speech when he asked for "one more" kiss. That was a good bye kiss.

Whether it was the writers injecting foreshadowing or Bob actually saying good bye, I guess we will find out in the coming weeks.

In the previews, when Sasha says "Three of us are missing", I suspect she is referring to Bob, Daryl and Carol.

If Bob is not the one making the marks on the trees, who is? Are they intended to be breadcrumbs for the Termites, or something else?

The first one, supposedly near the sign that Rick altered, was a circle with an "X" in it. The next one was a reversed, sideways "L". Not sure if the symbols themselves mean anything.

Maybe they are made by whomever took Beth?

He DEFINITLY knows Bob. There is a connection. Maybe they knew pre-ZA?

On TTD, they said that the guy Ty "killed" was at the BBQ. However, I did not see him, and I watched the scene about 3 or 4 times.

I saw him...I guess Tyrese was lying when he said he killed him...or maybe he just thought he killed him...but I did see that guy.....he's in the shot briefly in the background wearing a hat....but then again, it could be someone else that looks just like him.

This season has started off awesome. Two hard-hitting episodes in a row. You can't really follow up the first one, but they did a nice job considering.

I'm guessing Gabriel is connected with a separate group that abducted Beth.

I like Yoga's premise that Bob was bitten. And yes, that means Gareth and friends are screwed...makes beautiful sense.

Good episode...makes up for the increasingly laughable rubber zombie masks.

Yep, AMC is working this show on a shoestring budget. But as long as the writing is this good, it doesn't really matter.
