Huh. Interesting about the nut they freed from the train car. I did not make the connection. Looks like this is going to be a very intricate storyline.

Great first episode! Lots of bloodshed and drama.

One thought is that Morgan might be looking to kill Rick and co. He was nuts when they left him and didn't they off his zombie-boy (or was he just already gone? I'll have to review and see.)? Could be a crazy revenge thing?

BTW: Please keep spoilers off of this thread! I want to find out what happens during the show and not on a message board. There is a seperate thread somewhere here that contains spoilers and I just avoid that one.

They also said on the aftershow that the first kill at the trough was the guy that plays the penguin on Gotham. No lines, just blonde hair, scared look and get your throat slashed.

He was the hippie from earlier in TWD too. Rick and Carl met him and his girlfriend in the houses and gave him the watch after they left to go get vegetables er fruit er some shit. We saw the girlfriend get eaten by walkers but not him.

So, I just did the little episode 5.01 quiz on AMC and the final questions was....Months later, who happens upon Rick's altered sign?

Morgan was obviously the answer, but months later? I must have missed something because I didn't feel like it was months later.

Why didn't you feel that way?

When Rick alters the sign it is completely out in the open. When Morgan is seen next to it, the sign is covered in foliage. It's clear some time has passed between the two images.

I didn't consciously notice the brush, but did notice that something seemed different...maybe even just the sign LOOKING older. Something.

Morgan could have been at a different tree altogether, not necessarily the one Rick was at, and those X's had to have been carved onto many of them.

Me neither, they passed so many terminus signs, I just assumed it was a different one along the way. I would have never even thought of it if he didnt post that quiz question. I guess we will see if the baby is months older or walking next show.

I think the "sign" that they are referring to is the "NO Sanctuary" sign, not the marked tree. I am quite certain that the "No Sanctuary" sign is the same one that Rick doctored at the end of the episode.

Same applies to the signs...but yeah, that was probably the same one. I think Rick may have added the "NO" to more than that particular Sanctuary sign...only we haven't seen it....yet.
