One of those writers are wrong i hope its the story i put up,
I have seen a few others and the lowest was on the 3rd line. No way being a 20 goal scorer at his age, 22, he is a rotational player. On our team I would be real surprised if he isn't a top 6. Some of these "writers" don't seem to know their ass from their elbow.

I could see this being about right. Maybe switch Laughton and Poehling.

None of these articles are fact based anymore, journalism isn't an honest art form these days and no one believes in the integrity of the truth. I should start my own blog because I believe I would have a broader view of objectivity then the hacks posing as sports writers.

I honestly don't care about the lines, because they'll only generate as much offense as the defense allows them to.

My focus will be mostly on the power play unit and if they can become just average with Michkov.
That's it.

Lets hope there are zero injuries because its going to be tough to score with that line up let alone back ups

I hope he does it but that's a lot of pressure to put on a 19 year old rookie.

I agree, we still have quite a few young kids coming up through the system. It takes a minute to see who is building a positive chemistry and who isn't. Adjustments are going to be constantly as they are every season. It will be interesting to see what a first unit PP looks like to start the season though.

Not really, I get your point but I want him to be selfish and shoot! We'll at least have konecny out there with him so that's one more option shooter, we just need a good QB and two good clean up guys and we could be rolling.

8x8.75 for TK. Not the move I would’ve made if I were GM, but 8.75 is better than the rumored 10, and I do love TK so I guess we’ll see how it goes!

According to this Athletic article (paywall), his model value was $8.2M.

And another valuation:

IMO We should offer TK for 8 years 70 million and if that's not enough we would have to look at trading him to the highest bidder.
Love that TK signed this contract it works good for us.

TK's extension is slightly higher than the consensus here. I thought $8 - 8,5 mill so its $250,000 more. I think that makes him the 38th highest paid player. Can't complain. I would have complained, however, at $10,000,000. Next year they have some cap with York, Cates, Frost and Foerster as RFA's.

With the TK deal in place, they now have a lot of cap tied up for a while. Assuming this year and next are still about rebuildling, they have $45M already in place for 2026-27. Without Drysdale, York, Foerster, or any goalies. Just seems like a lot to have tied up already considering the quality of the team.

Not really sold on the plan anymore, while I do like TK, I feel like these are the kind of contracts that have kept us in the dumps for a decade

Rebuild is not what we are doing as promised but instead we are retooling.

If the guys we have the money tied up in play to the level of their contracts we would be able to maybe trade them like Risto for example. Since hes not playing at that level we are stuck with him.

At some point they're going to have to move a winger for a C or D. They have TK, Tippett, and Farabee locked up long term. Presumably Michkov will be a mainstay. I guess that just could be your top 6 wingers when you're trying to contend? Maybe that's good enough. Makes Foerster trade bait potentially. Add some sweeteners and try to turn him in to a top of the lineup C or D?
