Thanks for the article.

I am now thinking Farabee and a 3rd rounder may be enough to move us up in the draft. Getting Farabees 5 million off the books for the next 4 years would be a bonus.
How bad do the Flyers have to get before they can get better?

I am hoping that we are as bad as we can get right now and this is the year we start to get better.

Realistically i think we may be getting a little more worse before we will be getting better especially if we lose Carter Hart for nothing.

And of course, owners and the FO had to offer their opinions of the preceding season. Hirferty (Hifarty) is runnin' his piehole. Gave everyone ataboys and of course Torts wasn't there. Not much about the 2-7-2 finish we had that just killed our post-season. Laughable.

I agree the disappearance of our team at the end needed to be addressed .

Joel Farabee: It’s not that Farabee can’t be a productive player in a few years, it’s that it’s difficult to envision him playing in a top-six role considering the Flyers have Tippett, Foerster, Konecny and likely Matvei Michkov taking up the top two lines. They would probably be better off with a younger — and cheaper — player in that spot in 2026-27. It’s why Farabee’s name will likely be among trade speculation this summer and moving forward.

Not surprised to see Yakemchuk as the first name there. He seems like he'd be a guy they'd be interested in. But he can also skate and has some skill too which sometimes gets left off. I think he might be my preferred guy at this point for #12, if he gets there. But I also kinda doubt he gets there. Some team(s) will always grab a 6'3 RHD that can skate and has skill earlier than people expect.

Could try to trade up a few slots to get him, but that almost never happens in the NHL that high in the draft.

Rachel Doerrie - ESPN - April 2nd: "One of the oldest players in the draft class, Yakemchuk has a highlight reel that's a mile long featuring goals and big hits, but it comes with a lot of risk. Yakemchuk is not only one of the highest-scoring defensemen in the draft, but he's also one of the most penalized."

Seems like a fun guy to watch.

If a center falls to us i believe we need to take a center. Maybe Iginla.

I agree, C is a major need. But some of the podcasts I've been listening to are saying that Iginla is likely a wing in the NHL. Catton might be too. Helenius they seem a little more confident in him sticking at center because of his smarts, but his size isn't ideal for center either. And then Lindstrom will likely be gone. Though if his injury question marks force a slide, maybe he's there. Sounds like he could be a pretty exciting prospect if he can get over his injury.

Little bit I've read about the 2025 draft though is that it's full of centers. 10 of Pronman's top 21 for next year are centers.
