Lets do this!
If we could just not win for the rest of the year that would be nice..SEA wins and EDM loses.

Id love to get a chance to draft Hagens. Is it time for the draft yet?
Hopefully we draft good but IMO we need to start seeing if some of these other pieces we already have start panning out to. Trying to stay optimistic though.Id love to get a chance to draft Hagens.
After missing the playoffs for the last 5 years it would be nice if we could make it in next year. If were aren't going to make it in we need to be worst in the league. I think either one of those scenarios would make us all happy.Hopefully we draft good but IMO we need to start seeing if some of these other pieces we already have start panning out to. My plan would be for our #5 pick or better to help right away.Hopefully we draft good but IMO we need to start seeing if some of these other pieces we already have start panning out to. Trying to stay optimistic though.
The key to this plan is to get that top 5 pick first and foremost. My plan would be for our #5 pick or better to help right away.
Trade away those late 1sts and early 2nds to bring in another player.
Offer sheet to a less than $5M player so we don't lose our own 1st.
One FA offensive player.
That should net us at least 3 players to play on the 1st two lines.
Michkov and Konecy make 5.
Maybe Couts makes 6.
Maybe Tippett or Foerster?
3rd line features Cates/Brink or Foerster/Couts or Tipps
4th line is Hathaway/Poehling/whatevers left from 3rd line
In the spots you have vacant is where we should be inserting guys like Luchenko, Bonk etc. We have to see something from these guys sooner or later. Who knows who will thrive, worst comes to worst, if a guy doesn't pan out, doesn't mean he wouldn't be good trade material. My plan would be for our #5 pick or better to help right away.

I think a lot will depend on who our new coach is to. Couts is a good guy who you can slide from 3rd line to 2nd if needed. I just want him to be more solid, and I'll admit he looked better this year than last. The key to this plan is to get that top 5 pick first and foremost.
If Couts is on our first two lines in the future we will still not have enough for a cup as he isn't getting any younger or better in the next few years.
The Flyers are currently -47 right now in goal differential. The key to this plan is to get that top 5 pick first and foremost.

Two third line centers at best on any cup worthy team. The Flyers are currently -47 right now in goal differential.
Coots is a +2.
Cates is a 0.
Now, Coots only has 40 points in his 74 games and that's just not $7M worthy.
But, he's got 16 points in his last 24 games and is a +5 in those games.
Centering Michkov and Konecny has helped and perhaps he's getting healthier/better hockey shape?
He may never play to the value of that contract, but I'd like to hope he's still got something in the tank and even more to prove.
Pretty ironic that Cutter Gauthier scores 2 goals in a win against the Oilers. The Ducks stay ahead of us in the standings and the 1st rounder we got from the Oilers gets better. For a kid who hates us, he sure helped us out last night...LolSEA wins and EDM loses.
Finally some other teams screwing up the tank. That's usually our job.Flyers tank opponents really on a nice run.
Sabres, Pens, and Bruins all win tonight. 15-2 combined score lol.
Kraken in bad shape, but back to backs with travel ate basically scheduled losses out west.
