If so you can put me on record saying ASU is going to cruise their way to the Rose Bowl and beat the absolute shit out of UCLA and Oregon along the way.

Pretty much. Had the game vs. UW gone the other way, Husky fans would have laid off the trash talk after the game was over. Just how it works.

General trash talk is pretty much always ok. But game specific trash talk is for pre-game and ends postgame.

You really only get a 24 hour period of trash talk after a game, unless a fan of the team you've beaten says/writes something that should elicit more smack talk.

For example, if Saturday night you'd written, "Man, it feels good to destroy Washington after all the BS we heard this week. They suck and we're awesome." that would be fine. Saying it on Thursday, not so much.

However, if a Washington fan said something like, "We just had a bad game, we're still probably the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference. Everything just snowballed. We win that more often than not," you would then be allowed to briefly talk more shit to them. That is how it goes. There's a code. You don't get to dwell on a game and bring it up repeatedly until the offseason when there isn't shit else to talk about.

And if you absolutely, positively -must- say something, keep it subtle. Like:

Been to a couple of ASU games in my younger days. One when my Trojans played at Sun Devil Stadium in 1988 and when they played in the Rose Bowl vs. Michigan in 1987. Got to sit in the student section both times. Had a blast.

We @ State MUST live with the fact that we lost to, not 1, BUT 2 FCS schools. I hear that stuff constantly around here. I just L@@K @ the standings there after.
