!

go back to my post I said UCLA 11-1 losing to Oregon Duckmath!!

But you said 1 loss for UCLA and since we know that they will lose to USC, that would be their 1 loss. Then you said they would lose to Oregon. If they lose to USC and Oregon, that's 2 losses!!

You don't think the QB who leads the #9 passing offense in the country can punish your secondary? I think it comes down to whether or not your LBs can cover our RBs and TEs. Stanford and ND could do it. USC and Wisconsin could not. They were forced to bring in extra DBs and we were able to run the ball on tired d-lines in the second half. Well, we didn't put up too many rushing yards against Wisconsin because they were stupid and kept trying to press Strong.

In Seattle Washington probably blows us out, at a neutral site they probably win by 7, in Tempe I see it as a toss up right now. It'll be a good old fashioned shoot out.

LB's? Oh yeah, we got those. You may not have heard of Shaq Thompson, but you will after next week. One of the top LB's in the conference for sure. Converted safety that can cover, stop the run, and rush the passer. The other two can cover, but of course it depends on the speed of the players.

I'm just telling you that unless you have a totally dominating defensive line you aren't going to stop that offense. Sure, they only scored 28 and 24 the last two weeks against the best two defenses in the conference (by far), but if your defense isn't as good as theirs (no other team in the conf is including UCLA) then you won't hold them under 30. Just won't happen. KP is just as good escaping from the pocket on the run as he is sitting back and picking off his targets from it. Sankey will give you fits all day and when you come down to stuff the box to stop him Smith and Ross will light it up on the outside. Then you have the big play makers of ASJ and KW.

The reason I'm calling this a win is Sark. He said this is the game he had circled as the most important game of the year all season. If that is true you can bet they are laser focused on this game. If it is that important to them I just don't see them losing it. Could be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Sorry didn't know I had to go over basic reading comprehension with you. I said what I said and meant what I said. YOUR assumption is not my belief so don't give me Duckmath and a :L because you can't understand that I think UCLA will beat USC.

Still no line on Charleston Southern/Colorado. Should either make our own line or just pass on that game this week. Can't imagine anyone would be heartbroken not getting to pick that awesome match up.

Why did he have this as the most important game? Wouldn't beating Oregon or Stanford have been bigger wins? At this point though it's pretty much a must win for both teams to live up to their preseason expectations. Both teams have been battle tested and both coaches will have their teams well prepared. ASU isn't going to see a better o-line than Stanford or a better d-line than Notre Dame the rest of the season. Likewise Washington won't see a better offense than Oregon or a better defense than Stanford.

And I could be saying the same thing about our offense as you are about yours. Stack the box and Strong will kill you. DJ Foster is too fast to be covered with a LB but he's also just as deadly lining up in the backfield and taking handoffs. The same things can be said about Marion Grice and Deantre Lewis. Coyle and Nelson are two of the fastest TEs in the country and both will also line up in the slot or at H-back. Disrespect Taylor Kelly's running ability like USC and he'll torch your defense. Like I said, it's going to be a good old fashioned shoot out :suds:

I think that EWU loss would keep a 2 loss Beaver team out of the Rose Bowl.

Its unfortunate as the Beavs have really started playing good football. But that is an ugly thorn in yalls side right there.

Another Alamo or Holiday Bowl is on the OSU radar in that 2 loss scenario.

Depends on WHO that 2nd "L" belongs too I spose...

I don't see a problem till we have to travel 1 last time this year to the desert, get by that 1 and it's all "Civil" till then.:suds:

:nod::agree:

I pretty much see it how Mamba does. I think they beat ASU, probably get beat fairly bad against UCLA, and I'd take OSU as a toss up/leaning toward UW right now, but subject to change.

I'm not trying to pick as a homer, but I have watched every down of UW ball this year and believe they are over their road woes of past years. I watched the same thing at Husky stadium this week, the hurry up offense takes a lot of the sting out of road crowd noise because they already use hand signals/silent counts and take plays so fast the crowd doesn't always have time to get up to full sound. At Illinois the UW offense played about as well as they do at home. If it wasn't for a couple of big plays late that game was more of a blowout than the final score showed. The defense played pretty well.

Only thing that worries me about UW this year is the secondary. Ducre is garbage IMO at corner. They gave up too many basic post routes to Oregon (yes, your WR's are fast, but jesus put a fucking safety out there will ya Wilcox?) and ducre got burned a couple of times this year and go routes. I think the UCLA game will be bad for us because Hundly will shred that secondary. Mannion is good, but I don't think their D is as solid as UCLA's and ASU isn't going to even slow down Sankey, plus I just don't think their QB can punish that secondary.

That's just how I see it.

Good read Whiz as always...

If mariota can lite UW secondary count on OSU doing more as Mannion is not only good, he's on fire with more than 5 receivers at his call. Don't like the Beavs run game yet? It's getting better all the time, not great but who cares right now anywhoze. Teams can't stop the passing game and Cooks may well BE the best this nation has to offer @ that position. Please try to dispute that staement if you want to. Sankey gonna get his 100 yard games, but what else is there to offer here that the Beavers can't stay with or pass up at a moments notice. Take care of the rwak or gawd help ya I say. To whick "secondary are you refering to Whiz? ASU's? :laugh3: We don't play UCLA this year (yet), but based on last year, well that story is a fact now.

Beavs are a fucking "wild card" and playing like it now too. ALL the best in Pac12 has to come thru Corvallis, cept for ASU and Oregon. Riley takes 1 game @ a time and looks happy right now the way things are rolling along.

I can't get enuff of em either, damn team makes ya cry and then leap for joy!:yahoo:

We all just gotta love the PAC, what a hellva conference we play in. NOTHINGS for sure and ever week something strange happens.:suds:

We have Will Sutton oh wait............ He sucks this year. No dominating defensive line. Remember when espn said "We have the best pass rush in college football" HAHA. So much for that.

Yeah. I'm hoping they don't find their identity vs the Huskies. If they do, you guys will win. If Price has time to pass UW will win.

Thats what it comes down to for me in this one.
