Some thoughts on the faked injuries people are claiming.

The new stadium might be the tipping point for them, but who knows. The game will get a lot of national attention either way, just would be cool to finally have them here at least once.

As for the helmets it's the same ones they used against Arizona. The metallic look is in around football I guess and why they chose a lighter color for the mask I don't know. I'm on record as saying I like the old school unis and don't like all these options, but that's how the game is going now so we really have no choice I guess.

I like the metallic stuff, but metallic purple? I was opposed to the uniform fashion shows at first, but now I like a lot of what is happening.

buddha, there were actually 3 in the game and no one will ever know if any/all were legit. As long as teams really do fake it there will always be those questions. I will point out that after limping off the field badly he came running out fine when he came back out and it wasn't very long after. Even if it really was two plays UW runs those so fast it wasn't a minute he was gone. It just looked bad.

Again, the slowdown from it didn't have any impact on the outcome of the game. It really isn't the story, nor was the call on the pass to end the game. Price should have thrown a better ball and not left any doubt or maybe they should have covered the kickoffs better. Maybe they could have prevented a cheap TD to end the first half or not go from 3rd and short to 3rd and long three different times on stupid penalties.

UW had their chances to win that game and didn't execute. That was the story.

UW's defense looks legit for the first time in a decade. There were very few explosive plays by a Stanford offense that had been putting up video game numbers on other teams.

When UW's offense wasn't shooting itself in the foot with penalties they were moving the ball well enough to have won.

The problems on special teams are easy enough to fix.

The rest of the conference should take note. UW isn't a doormat and you better be ready for a full game against them. They lost, but not because they didn't have fight or skill.

I just can't help but question what injury leaves a player flopping on the ground for a good couple minutes while trainers examine he knee, but heals within two plays.

I agree, but the fact that the players that went down were the top pass rushers and run stoppers, makes me question if maybe they were just cramping (which hurts like an SOB) due to how hard UW worked them in the second half.

Now on another matter this asshat needs to be put on blast!

F this guy...keep in mind in addition to missing a game last year (as ASJ did) Skov was suspended all of winter quarter.

For those that care here is an article on the Skov's. Their mom is not expected to live to the end of the season.

Wizard. I agree, UW looked dominant in most phases of the game. The suspicion is justified, and if it had been a nickel back or other I would fully agree. Even with it being the players it was, I am a bit ashamed if they did fake it.

you're right. We could have played Nichols State, instead. Oh, right, you were playing Nichols State, Takes guts, man.

Please you had Sacramento State, same same as playing Nichols

Agreed. Gameday would be big for UW and Oregon both. And for the rivalry. I hope it still happens. And since Oregon Stanford is on Thursday, it may be the only chance the PAC12 gets this year.

UCLA @ Stanford or UCLA @ Oregon are also options.

Wow. That instant Twitter barrage sounds uncoordinated.
Sheesh. I thought that crap only happens on Hollywood scripted crime dramas.

Hey coddled bitches on that team, the more you spew this pathetic bull shit about not faking that injury to gain a free timeout to slow down our offense, the more you incriminate yourselves.

Just shut your traps and the tweats while you have any dignity left. You discraced yourselves on national tv tonight. Just shut your traps.

Summary: Oregon held back and is very well rested and hid quite a bit this week. After UW's emotional rollercoaster on the road, I see an Oregon victory by a couple tds.... Possibly more. Game will be close in 1st half.

Couple TD's huh?

It's time, no more talk, its game week and I think it gonna be an upset!

There I took the first shot....

UDud outplayed Stanford in most aspects of the game. I'm convinced. This isn't the same ol' Husky team of the past decade.

I'm taking the Huskies this next week and any points they get as it should be a straight Pickem.

Hope the Ducks play hard from the get go. If they play the way they played in the first 10 minutes this week against Colorado the Huskies will route us.

I agree. They showed a ton of heart, and smoked what should have been a much stouter D than Stanford has had in the past. If they fix the holes on special teams they win that game going away last night.

I'll still have lots of fun during Husky Hate Week but doesn't change this team is actually not bad. Most of my disdain for Husky fans come from their lack of humility and them still thinking they are the 1991 team.

This is actually a decent team. They finally have a reason to be hopeful

It will make winning the decade all the better :suds:

Well I openly admit this years defense isn't close to being that good as that defense back in 91, they were crazy good back then, though I wouldn't mind seeing Wilcox try and build another defensive unit based on that 91 group, cause they were very good...
