So, my take after Oregon game today.

Offense:

Absolutely cruised without DATS and Lyerla. Could have been much better in the run game. But Mariota I believe had instructions to keep the zone read vanilla. He had about 5 plays where he runs for a long time if he keeps. He handed off in every one of those plays. I think Helf didnt want him running too much vs the Buffs. The passing game was scary good tonight.

Defense:

Colorado put up some major yards through the air early and a little more on the ground later. Oregon played very aggresive in the secondary and on the blitz. Both were positives as turnovers were created.

Summary: Oregon held back and is very well rested and hid quite a bit this week. After UW's emotional rollercoaster on the road, I see an Oregon victory by a couple tds.... Possibly more. Game will be close in 1st half.

wow is all I can say. What a day. After my blood pressure went through the roof watching the A's game, we get a classic walk off win!!!!! Then I settle in to watch an AMAZING UW Stanford game. I will save the smack talk and just say that Washington looked good and is obviously improved. Stanford has some dirty players on the defense (Skov) and doesn't look dominant. In all honesty, special teams mistakes and penalties doomed the dawgs, but they played with a lot of heart.

Now its time to talk about this....

ITS RIVALRY WEEK IN THE NW!!!!!! GO DUCKS!!!!!

Also, go A's.......I am still in baseball mode, big game in Detroit on Monday. I will be in Chicago for the day and watching from a nice bar hopefully.

I haven't normally had issues with him, but he sure does have some sand in his vag tonight for something and won't just say what it is. :noidea: Keeps telling me I'm avoiding something and won't come out and say what it is. :L Maybe he's just drunk? Would make sense.

If there were ever a time a team can lose but jump spots I believe that the UW-Stanford game shows that UW deserves a bumb in the rankings.

UW should drop, but not out of the 25. Depends on how the rest of the upper teens to low 20's did.

How about those cougs man? You starting to believe yet? Do they have 3 more wins somewhere to reach a bowl this year? They are starting to dial up that offense. Now if they could just find some defense. That unit has been turrble lately.

Total Yards.

Washington 491

Yeah, while many are going to say UW played a better game than they expected or otherwise give them props, I'm not happy to see them reach the big stage and again do so many things to kill themselves. That is a part of their game we have dealt with for so long and it really can't continue.

Yes, it's better that they now have the skill to dig out of those holes, but they aren't going to take the next step continuing to dig them in the first place.

I will finally give some props to Price though. This may be the first big road game I've seen him play where he did everything he could and wasn't a part of the loss. He really played well and drove the team in tough situations and that's all you can ask of your starting QB.

The physical toughness from Price tonight is something I haven't seen from Kelly at all in his career especially late in games and over coming adversity.

So now the question becomes did UW play well enough to still attract college game day? Or was any loss no matter how close going to be enough to keep them east of the Rockies?

I'll post this here because I know it has been a problem for teams like oregon for a while (though I never cared until now).

I'm Listening to the honks post-game. They were bitching about the faked injuries. Something needs to be done about that... When it's that blatant, the guys are writhing in pain like they dislocated a shoulder or tore an ACL, and then are back out on the next play, how can that be overlooked?

I question if they would come even if we won tonight.

There is nothing they can do about it, but then again those faked injuries didn't end up making a difference. It makes Stanford look like a bunch of pussies, but it didn't change the outcome.

They were willing to sit out one of their best players a play in exchange for allowing them to do a full substitution and I don't see any way they can prevent that. With all these teams going to uptempo it will increase.

Even when northwestern didn't even try to act it out and did one nothing happened. go look at the video of that one and when you see nothing happened there isn't any of them that will have something happen.

They tweeted that they were coming if we won last week. A battle of two 5-0 teams with one of them ranked #2 is worth the trip. Is it still worth it with UW now 4-1? That's the question now isn't it.
