You lose 36% of the time when facing top 50 defenses, or was it top 25? You made mention of both.

How do the ducks do when facing top 10 defenses during their little streak?

I want to know the secret to beating Oregon if it's not good D.

No it isnt just good defenses because Oregon also lost to USC who was a horrible D in 2011 and a Stanford team in 2009 whose d ranked #90.

little streak? by that do you mean what you believe that Oregon has only been good for a couple years or the reality that they have been good long enough to have more than what I would call a "little" streak?
for the record I think LSU was the only top 10 defense Oregon has faced in probably the BCS era.

IB I called you for the bet for two reasons, 1. I hate the Huskies with a passion, grow up in Kirkland as a Stanford fan int he on James era and tell me you wouldn't. 2. To belittle Oregon, is by the almighty transitive property, belittling Stanford's D. The only thing that kept us in games at times, even in the Luck years, except, of course, in Seattle in 2010.

So they lose 36% of the time to teams with top 25 D's (I'll take your word for it), 100% of the time to teams with top 10 D's and then the random upset once in awhile. Which considering this is the pac and we have more upsets than any other conference in the BCS era, seems legit.

I still don't see how my statement of when they face real D's they are vulnerable (words to that effect) is wrong.

Looks exactly RIGHT to me. I'll give a little ground and say their offense still produced, but they still lost and the only common denominator I see is a real D.

I regretted making a bet with tonyintransit because he didn't post much here and I won't make that mistake again. Calling him names is pretty lame even for a duck. You are just trying to push him into it because YOU get to pick the avatar and have no skin in the game. You take no risk and get the reward and then call him chicken? Man the zeros are extra lame tonight.

WH I joined at the same time as IB, I just apparently do not post as often. I am here for the long haul, and trying to recruit more LSJU posters from other boards. Think what you will, but I, my bourbon, and my passion for the school with the 3rd highest total NC in all sports will be here for a long time. Wish I had found this place long ago.

Oregon should of win in 2011 vs Auburn we all saw the game. How the media was hyping Oregon on there trick plays and Oregon got into the hype and the whole first quarter chip was running gadget plays and trick plays. Oregon clawed there way back but should of been national champions if they would of stuck to there basic offense.

Then make bets when you have established yourself here. As for old fart, I was long gone out of school by that time. I have no problems with you trying to make bets, but you have to understand those that reserve bets for more seasoned veterans.
