I wouldn't say we were exposed. That game pretty much confirmed what most of us knew all along that while we may be a good team this year, we're nowhere near good enough up front to compete with the elite teams. The south is still up for grabs, and we still have a chance to go 3-1 or 2-2 in the brutal 4 game stretch. While USC and ND don't look as scary as they did before the season most ASU fans have been saying that if we can go 2-2 or 3-1 over these 4 games it will be a victory.

ASU exposed? Whiz can talk like now that he and Sark have had their five years to rebuild. Graham's on his second getting plenty of good publicity and things are looking good. I still like ASU's chances in the South and as I see it, there's no where to go but up. We get USC week after next and the sooner the better. That defense gets tougher by the week. That will be our key game and I bet our toughest game.

Valero Alamo Bowl: UCLA vs. Big 12

Hyundai Sun Bowl: Arizona State vs. ACC
Las Vegas Bowl: Arizona vs. MWC
Fight Hunger Bowl: Washington State vs. BYU
Gildan New Mexico Bowl: USC vs. MWC

Three games played and they think they can project the season. BS. These "experts" can't predict Saturdays games. That doesn't deter them.

WM, I know I didn't win the pick'em, but where did I wind up? I don't think I got last away from Wallace and I'm not on your list. Congrats to DayMan and I hope to pick better week 5. I only missed week 1 so far.

That's a fair assessment. That game debunked any lofty expectations some fans had of a Rose Bowl. Only way that would ever happen now is if we somehow go undefeated the rest of the way and the north winner goes to the national championship game. The realistic best case scenario right now is to win the south and go to the Alamo Bowl.

ASU_08, you're throwing in the towel, because Whiz says we are exposed??? The winner of the South, whoever that might be, will not likely be undefeated, true, not that it matters. Neither is it "realistic" to assume the North champ will be undefeated, not that it matters but they weren't last year. The Rose Bowl is awarded to the winner of the CCG. There's no debunking of lofty expectations at this point in the season. IMO, ASU will win the South if we beat USC. The second half of the Stanford showed you the HEART of ASU; that's what it takes to win, and it was the one thing we haven't had lately. I wouldn't "realistically" attribute the Rose Bowl to the North until they have defeated the South on the field, in the CCG. Unlike the last two years, the winner of the South will be a true champion who has won it on the field in full competition and is good enough, in their own opinion, to beat the North. Not in the opinion of the biased fans that you have listened to after three games into the season and can't actually pick their noses. It is not a lofty expectation to win the South; we would have done so before if we hadn't given it away, I say given it away; we lost it before we got to the field. It won't happen under Graham. Meanwhile, if ASU fans cannot maintain their faith in the team why should the team bother. Pay attention, Jahii. Let us now stand and sing hymn number 48.
