Hey Quack fans,

Looking for your honest opinion here, in the time Kelly was at Oregon did you honestly feel he gave a damn as to what the defense was doing on the field? Or did he just expect his offense to score all the time?

Hey did you cover missing weeks?

Thought you did however if not those who missed a week should get no better than the lowest score for week 1 added to their week 2 total.

Going by total wins. Easiest way and makes the most sense.

Want to keep an accurate tag of peoples actual record instead of giving them losses for games they didn't pick.

Since it isn't based on win %, but total wins, missing weeks is just as big of a gaf against them in the standings.

Hey Quack fans,

He gave a damn about the defense. He is a great football HC. Fortunately for Oregon they have Nick Allioti as a d coordinator. A guy with 20+ years at Oregon in that position.

Also Chip had playmakers and good talent on that side of the ball.

While obviously he is an offensive mind, of course he still cares and tries to prepare both sides of the ball to perform their best.

I assume you are referring to Phily. Have no idea of the d personnel there. But that type of offense puts a strain on the defense. In college it can work. Because you can rotate 20+ guys on defense similar to line shifts in hockey. Easily accomplished with quality depth on a 80+ man collegiate roster.

This was my main concern with Chip as an NFL coach. NFL and the 53 man roster, running that quickly on offense and putting the defense out there without much rest could be the chink in Chip's NFL armor.

His teams rarely win time of possession and he thinks that stat is worthless. It may have been in college. NFL may be a completely different story however.

Not to beat a dead horse but,

It is what it is, the crew screwed up and they have "punished for it" maybe Badger fans need to get on the coaching staff a little, clock management wasn't that great to begin with, and I would be questioning just exactly were they trying to do cause I saw no FG unit rushing to kick the ball.....
:agree:The human element is always in play in these situations and even the announcer said a lot of things can go wrong and low and behold...

With no timeouts and the game on the line, the best thing to do in that situation is to spike the ball and don't worry about the angle.

You start playing with fire and sometimes you're gonna get burned.

Whiskey got burned by the human element however, as some have pointed out already in this thread, it wasn't the officiating crew's only misstep. Who knows if dude makes the head on FG anyway but ya can't start playing the what if card because it never ends. Next time coach is in a similar situation, I'm sure he does the prudent thing by spiking the ball and controlling what he can control.

To hell with centering the ball!

And by the way, Tennessee fans are the best fans I have ever met. I loved hanging with those guys. I will always root for them from now on. Also, big kudos to an SEC team finally honoring their commitment to come to Autzen. Hey Georgia, maybe you should take note here you chicken shits.....

The knee was down and the runner was out of bounds. It's poetic justice that in the end one bad call offset the other and the right team won. Any other outcome would have been a travesty. PERIOD.

What OSU did with that patchwork O-line was very impressive. Utah was tied for 2nd in the nation entering the game and was held to zero sacks. Mannion had days to pass and lit up the Ute secondary.

However, Travis Wilson lit them up for 142 yards rushing and 3 rushing TDs. They need to get much better at stopping mobile QBs in order to be a legit contender for the North title. They also need a rushing attack.

AGREE WITH EVERYTHING SAID HERE...Your "good eye" is watching and it tells. Patchwork O-line did do it's job Sat nite and those newbies in the trenches are getting some "quality experience" with the starters that are out now. Look for the run game to improve and aint it nice to give the biggies some time to heal with no fallout in Mannion production too? JEPPERZ!

Run game...where is it? Healing too with Woods on the mend with a "knee to the noodle" concussion. Always like his backup, tinkle he will do nicely this coming weekend as SDSU can't cover crap and Riley will get his chance to run this week.

Mobile QB's? OOOhhhhhh, sore spot aint it. Not that it really shows up in ANY D stat, but the 3 INT's last Sat and shutting down Utah in the 1st half WAS a bright spot in an otherwise "shit-filled" no D year so far. Tank gawd we still have time to heal and fill in the gappers when the REAL conference games begin. I am not a big fan of Banker's 3-4 base D either. Thats a big reason the Beavers can't stop anyone of late, but what the hell do I know anywhoze. Spose Banker wants to utilize speed over size which his D lacks for sure.

Onwerds...:suds:

Saw a different angle on ESPN today and yep I would have bet dollars to donuts that he didn't put his knee down either however they froze the frame and his knee was CLEARLY down and there was no question about it what so ever.

I would have lost that bet for reals had I made it!

Look for it on ESPN, I'm sure you will see it too, there was no question.

That picture was posted on one of the Wisky got robbed threads too!!

The reason no FG unit was rushing to kick the ball is because Wisky was setting up to spike the ball to stop the clock so that they could kick the field goal!!

Anderson and Stave have to take partial blame, and they did, but there is no argument the refs screwed up. Let's just drop it now. We've moved on to Stanford.

Agreed!! I think multiple folks have a share of blame in this and ultimately, no matter who is at fault, it's not as if they are going to re-play that last 18 seconds!!

ASU fans should be prepared to hear about this from Wisky fans for years to come, though!! Just like Oregon fans have been hearing about it from Oklahoma fans!!

Apparently Colorado is trying to replace the Fresno game with Hawaii. would give Hawaii 13 games, Colorado 12 and leave Fresno at 11
