POETIC JUSTICE

most crazy ending to a college football game in at least 20 years lol. Amazing. But a win is a win for ASU? :noidea:

I'm sure if that was my team I'd feel dirty about the win, but wouldn't complain about it too much.

No reason to feel dirty, Whiz. The right team won this game. This controversy came about because the refs did not call the runner out of bounds on the fifty yard run that allowed this controversy to occur in the first place. If you watched the game, you know how obvious it was. As the ref was right there with his finger up his butt, n o doubt the reason the call was not reversed on review. Shitty game calling in 2010 cost us a one point loss at Wisky so we're not cherries. This is how poetic justice works, the right team wins. You can't take credit for a field goal not kicked and you can't mess with the football gods. The big hit is that this game calls the decisions of the our coaching staff into some serious question. Going for a fourth and goal on the first possession? Passing when you are trying to run down the clock? etc. Or is making the big gamble going to be Graham's philosophy? 2-0. Stanford, Notre Dame, USC coming. Take all the luck we can get.

I did watch about half of the 4th quarter as I was watching a movie with my family during most of the game. Yes, that runner was OB IMO and I'd bet the farm your base would have been the ones crying over the game had Wisky kicked a FG to win it. Their fans said something about a FG earlier in the game that wasn't really a FG? There were other bad calls/plays (as there always is in football).

But that ending left everyone scratching their heads and feeling screwed out of a proper finality to that game. Their QB really botched that IMO, but the refs taking 10 seconds to set the ball? Your players laid on it, not just get on it in case it's a fumble, but laid on it and didn't get up. That's defensive delay of game. Everyone gets blame for that ending and I'm sure I wouldn't feel proud of the win if it was my team and I'd be ticked off just like their fans if the shoe was on the other foot.

You know damned well a few of those games were down to the wire and could have gone either way. Still a win is a win. :suds: (so say the ASU fans)

1st place, 2nd place, 1st place.

Consistency is the anti venom for lucky.

:suds:

But, I was at Autzen all damn day and didn't watch hardly anything on tv. So, probably will finish in 2nd or 3rd next week and not 1st.

Just like 2 weeks ago.

no offense at all to you nor your fanso n your board. As I know you guys are fans. BUT, BUT IMO, Arizona has a bigger following for football than ASU. games in Tucson tend to be more full than ASU.

ASU is a better program with better local talent and, while Arizona games might "look" better attended, they are not. Arizona has a small stadium. There are typically more people at an ASU game than an Arizona game, and it's normally not because Arizona just runs into capacity. It's the nature of the transplant local population and prolonged mediocrity. ASU fans are fickle, partially because of an NFL team (very few college teams in NFL cities draw well) and partially because of mediocrity. If ASU started to win again, they'd draw 70k on the regular again.

And really, you can nitpick about how ASU's stadium looks empty, but you're basically looking for it. The attendance was 66,000 last night. It should have been better, but it is what it is. And that's not, as I understand, tickets sold. My understanding is that was the gate.

But back on point, I see no significant advantage that Arizona has over ASU in football. They aren't traditionally a better program. They don't have better talent. They don't have more fans or one sugar daddy booster to make everything better. The Arizona State program has a higher football potential.

Hotter girls, better looking facilities, a more diverse student body. That is why I think ASU has everything to entice athletes from California. I'm not sure how a road game in Tempe is not every Pac-12 fans favorite trip. At Arizona wearing opposing colors fans have venom towards, at Tempe you can get laid while wearing opposing colors.

:agree: Every word of this is true!! When I was young and single, a friend of mine was a student at ASU, I used to go out there for a couple of games every year (USC when they were there and usually one other). Also, went to the Rose Bowl when they played Michigan in 1987!! When you are young and single there are fewer places with more "friendly females" than the ASU student section!! :becky:

Those refs should never ref another football game. They missed the receiver out of bounds, they screwed up the last play, and they missed Wisconsin throwing 2 forward passes on the fake punt and having an ineligible receiver down the field. I'm sure there were others too.

I know a ton of really hot girls who went to both Arizona and ASU, I think among out of state students they don't really discriminate between the two. When I applied to schools I picked ASU and AU as my two safety schools and really wouldn't have minded going to either.

Far as I can tell they both have really hot chicks, I know a lot more girls who go to AU than ASU though personally.
