looking at the box score the game doesnt look good for Illinois.

Looks like we made a couple of mistakes and they took advantage of that.

2011 Price showed up again today in Chicago as he did against BSU.

28-35, 342 yds, 9.8 avg, 2 TDs.

Sankey 35 carries, 208 yds, 1 TD.

The numbers look great. It was just those ridiculous hometown refs out there today. Lost count of how many phantom penalties they whistled against us today. That holding call against ASJ when he didn't even touch the Illinois defender was just jaw dropping bad.

Lots of positives to take from the game. Great chance to go 3-0 with our OOC this year.

over 600y of offense and sankey had over 200y on the ground again. Keith had a great day passing as well.

Two turnovers by our freshman RB and penalties killed us. 12 penalties for over 100y stopped at least 3 drives.

All in all when you can turn the ball over twice and stop yourselves with so many penalties and still get a double digit win against any team on the road you can't complain too much. Illinois isn't a world beater, but they are talented and will win a lot more than the 2 games they had last year. That QB is pretty talented and they have some quality pieces around him. They just lack depth.

They have two weeks to work on tightening things up before Arizona comes to town and the tune up next week vs idaho state should help get them there.
