Yes, having ASJ back is going to be a big plus.

I think he's tops in the country and would bet mambas house he has an outstanding NFL career. He's going to be a great one.

Congrats to the Cougs for a big win last night!!

As for USC:

Defense: I told you this defense is legit!! Holding Leach's "Air Raid" offense to a field goal with 2 more int's., a fumble recovery, 3 or 4 more sacks and quite a few hurries and knockdowns speaks to that!!

Offense: Truly offensive!! They were absolutely GawdAwful and both qb's sucked out loud!! The offense was responsible for WSU's touchdown!! Might be time to do like PC did with Barkley and put the freshman (Max Browne) out there. The running game was the only bright spot for the offense!!

After 2 games, it's a first place defense with a last place offense!!

Still not sold on USC D either. OSewe held Hawaii more than USC did. It sure looked like the Cougs offense was just really bad. I'll give credit next week if USC holds Utah State.

By the way early upset special.... Utah State 35 USC 13

Seriously?!? You said the same thing after the Hawai'i game about playing the "Air Raid" offense!! Duck fans need to start actually paying attention to football, they might learn something!!

Btw, Cougs scored 24 on Auburn and should have had more. They got a field goal vs. USC!!

I wouldn't say its worth burning Browne's redshirt at this point. For what? The problem with USC's offense is either QB, but Kiffin running them both. Give either one of them full reps with the 1's and the full support of your staff and see what happens. As it is they both think they must suck because they can't outright win the job and are likely forcing things to try and win it. This is no way to manage young QB's trying to find their way.

I'm with you on ASU and Fresno, not quite sure about UCLA. It isn't a question of talent, but it is always tough to make your first real road game a win in a place like lincoln. They should get it done if talent is the only factor, but I won't be betting any vcash on that one.

I'd also say both zona and oregon are easy picks that should cover, but I know how hard it is to take big spreads. Stanford? Hard to take any power running team as that big of a favorite. SC? I'm taking BC all day with that garbage offense. UW will be one I can see a lot of splits in the picks on, but I'm UW all the way on that one. ASJ is going to have one hell of a coming out party for the season.

So.... going forward, meaning starting with next weeks results, is the loser going to take the reigns and manage this for a week? To give mamba a break as discussed earlier?

I need to know if I need to get serious to avoid work or if I can keep picking winners from a hat.

Illinois impressed.

Not hating or trolling @ all here.

This UW team like I told you reminds me a lot of the Dixon Ducks. The first road game with the new Husky Offense and philosophy can be tricky. Illinois proved they are a lot better than last year with that clownstompin they put on overmatched Cincy.

So if I am a Husky fan, I expect to win. But no for sure it will be a battle. I could see it down to the wire.

I think where UW wins is with the new offense. Illinois is going to be sucking wind. However I expect them to put up some pts as well.

We'll pull ahead in the second half. Take the over on pts for this one!!!

Not like it's that much work either way. I whipped up an excel sheet and just tossed in picks as they were posted. Didn't take that much time. As for tracking winners/losers that too didn't take much. Only reason I didn't take it for the season is I will be working some projects coming up where I won't be around on the weekends. I just figured adding the basement takes stat duty thing was just another fun element to add to it. Winner gets a banner and loser sweeps the floor for a week.

Everyone should remember to toast this week to perfection. As of week two, every PAC team has at least one win which means another season where UDud holds the record being the only team in conference to go 0-12.

So you are not allowed to bring up history when it is about national titles because Oregon doesn't have any and get jelly over such talk, but bringing up losing seasons is important to make them feel better about themselves and their lack of titles. Got it. :tsk:
