HIGH OCTANE
I don't think Arizona huddled the whole game. We looked Oregon-esque.
Huddling is so out of style. We haven't done it since 2009.

Boise State didn't either. Almost 170 plays between both teams and UW's defense was for sure the one in better condition throughout the second half. Plenty of depth and good rotation. The biggest thing is they get to practice it every week going against our offense that is now running the pro set uptempo and didn't huddle once. That's going to be the question of that game: Who runs the uptempo better and which defense tires first.I don't think Arizona huddled the whole game. We looked Oregon-esque.
I'm not taking anything for granted, but I do expect a win next week. I'd probably bet against the spread if they give us anything over 20, but it's time for Sark to put things together on the road. They had the game plan fully installed before last friday's practice and have another week to nail down the consistency on it.The last decade has made me a pessimist!!!
Most people arent looking at our next game to be much of anything, but I'm here to tell you we better have our shit in order!!! Illinois is great at turning seasons around from shit to decent and they look to be doing it again this year.

You gotta believe brother. I had full faith against BSU and I have it here as well. Can they lose? Sure, anyone can lose games they shouldn't. Still, i'm not going to get all negative until I'm given a solid reason to do so. Jump on the bus and take the ride with us man!
The thing is everyone wrongly says we are all running the Oregon offense and nothing could be farther from the truth. Many teams around the country have picked up the uptempo style from them and I'm sure they have all taken notes on how to minimize the time between plays having watched them run it, but Oregon runs the zone read and is a heavy run first offense. UW is still running the pro set where they run to setup the pass. A defense that is good at stopping one is not necessarily going to be good at the other. UW will test your back 7 and Oregon will stress your front 7. Better have LB's and plenty of depth for either, but they are not the same.
From what I recall Arizona was a more passing offense with Scott at QB, but I admit I haven't really looked at what they are doing this year.

Worked so well for you in the Erickson era.
And you ASU fans need to stop giving me thumbs down for no reason.
Agreed. We may of played lights out ball last week, but it's the road next Sat. We got to be able to repeat what we did. On the road. Losing to Illinois is flat out unacceptable.
They'll have that spread beat before the 2nd qtr and I'd think the spread should be -46 1/2 or higher. Tennessee still hasn't got a really good coaching staff yet to build up their team. I doubt Tennessee could beat the better FCS teams.Tennessee @ Oregon -23 1/2 my guess

This year we are a heavy running team. We had less than 100 yards passing in each of the first 2 games. If anything will be our downfall it will be the inconsistency of the pass game. This team will definitely be carried (pun intended) by the run.
Agreed, but what edge they have is double the time to prepare for the game. Having the game plan already fully installed last week gives them an entire week to work on mistakes, penalties, and otherwise just getting a lot more sharp at it.
Does cincy run the uptempo, because if they don't i wouldn't bank on illinois to be able to withstand the speed over the second half.
So in a 3 week time span UW will have to stop two of the conferences most dreaded uptempo running offenses. They better hope they don't have any serious injury to their main front 7.
I get why you would feature the run more now given a younger QB, but I wonder how it will look against defenses that have been working on the run heavy uptempo for years now. That will be a great game to see for both teams.
