No but sure am proud lil ol Oregon made it all the way to a NATTY game @ 12-0.

If you call it bragging it was more so the 12-0.

Even most losers know the truth when they see it. You were bragging about a loss.

Gotta feeling the Cougs are gonna give the Trojans a game.
This is and early game that could shock some people, even if they dont pull the upset off, there gonna be a thorn in someones side this season...

I'm not saying the Coug's couldn't pull off an upset. What I am saying is that after getting beat by an SEC doormat it won't due the Pac any favors on the National stage to have the Coug's win this one.

I can understand your view on the National stage, unless your school is Oregon, or Stanford the National Stage and the PAC are meaningless, but why would any self respecting dawg fan chear for the cougs? Have you ever been to Pullman?

Iron, I don't put much stock in any of the polls as it is and none of them are worth a piss at all until half way through the season.

Truth is, Wiz, the polls mean less than nothing to most teams at any time and will mean even less in the near future. The upshot is that the "experts" could not see the results of a years long rebuilding going at UW that resulted in Saturday's performance; UW fans should have. The experts view shows in overrating of BSU on the basis of what? What happened was only what should have been, to a degree anyway, expected. Yes, a colossal collapse could have occurred but it didn't. In fact the opposite did. I know gun shy, know it well, but I would expect to see a little more hip, hip hurray, not a hedge while "we take it on the road." This game, along with last years big wins, tells me that UW is here. We'll be waiting when you take it on the road, but you won't catch us napping while you decide. You may recall long before this game I picked UW to make some noise in the N. It obviously will be louder than I thought.

It's not that, everyone cheers against SC, you just do. I'll be cheering for you though in every game but one.

If you know anything about the rivalries up here most dawg fans don't hate on the cougs. Many of us have family that went there or otherwise just like to root for the underdog until we face them. The cougs hate us with every fiber of their being and would NEVER want to see us beat anyone. Traditionally UW always hated USC more than any other team. Given their fall and UW not making any noise in a while that rivalry has fallen and Oregon has taken over for now. So if we have traditionally hated USC and always sort of pulled for our little brothers why would it be a surprise for us to want to see them destroy you?

As for the national stage, we still wanted to see USC destroyed when we were running for titles. This conference rah rah crap is lame and always has been. I have Pac teams I hate less than others, but I would never pull for one just to make UW look better.

I said in the off season this was going to be a great year to be a dawg. We all knew more than anyone else that our depth was finally there and we were going to see our full team with a new style of play that should help them overcome the issues they have had with the up tempo teams.

I also called for a major win against BSU to the point where I was called arrogant and ignorant by some Boise fans for daring to think that thumping was going to happen. I tempered my predictions closer to the game to shut them up, but I said over and over I had zero doubt that game was going to be a UW win.

There is a big difference between beating a team they had already just faced who is in a rebuilding mode and came into our house on its opening party and translating that to a win against any of the 4 major pac teams they will play on the road or Oregon at home. No one is playing down the win, but we are keeping it in perspective.

I'm still recovering my voice and have saved that commemorative ticket/program/etc and have already rewatched the game in its entirety off my recording. Trust me, I had an erection that has lasted a lot more than 4 hours after that game, but UW fans will never/should never settle for that alone. That was one step toward a bigger goal. Until we dethrone Oregon in the north no UW fan should focus on anything but. Then it will be back to winning RB's or going to the new playoffs. Settling is not something we do up here.

Well, if you stick a basketball up your ass you might be able to figure it out. :kidding:

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course we have a football team. We just don't win very often. It's Clemson and FSU's turn now. We must play fair. When BB season comes back around, UNC, Duke, Virginia, NC State and Syracuse will take the reins again.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh ok, I was just wondering why a fan of a school that doesn't play decent football is questioning the fans of a school that currently is.

Listen geneh, as I said before, one does not disparage the team of the great Choo Choo Justice. Never, at any time, for any reason. Go to the campus right now and apologize to the Choo Choo Justice memorial. If there's not one there, there should be. See to it.

Poppycock! Any fan can question anything. It is a free country, isn't it?

Ted Millers PAC12 Power rankings based on week 1 results:

1. Stanford: Thought about moving Oregon up just because Stanford didn't play, but the Cardinal's opponent on Saturday -- boredom -- was better than the Ducks' (Nicholls State). San Jose State is not a foe to take lightly.

2. Oregon: The Ducks did what they were supposed to do: dominate in every way. Now things ramp up over the next two weeks, starting with a looooong trip to Virginia, which beat BYU in its opener.

3. Washington: The Huskies move up from No. 6 after turning in the conference's first win over a ranked nonconference foe. Now can they remain at these lofty heights after they take a week off?

4. UCLA: The Bruins posted a quality win over Nevada, so the big debate this week was whether the Bruins should be No. 3. Arguable. But if you look at the schedule, UCLA has a perfect trip on Sept. 14 to establish itself high up in the early conference pecking order: at Nebraska on Sept. 14.

5. Arizona State: The Sun Devils fell from No. 3 because they didn't play. Sorry. That's how the power rankings work. Things move around every week. A win over Sacramento State won't reveal much, either. But thereafter things get interesting, starting with Wisconsin on Sept. 14.

6. USC: The win at Hawaii wasn't very revealing. The defense looks better than in 2012, but the lack of clarity at QB is an issue, and it will remain so until coach Lane Kiffin decides the Maxwell Smart intrigue he is generating around the position isn't worth it.

7. Utah: The Utes move up two spots with a quality victory over Utah State. There are still plenty of questions -- injuries to WR Kenneth Scott and LB Brian Blechen are big -- but the improvement of QB Travis Wilson is grounds for optimism. While the Utes shouldn't overlook Weber State, Oregon State's visit on Sept. 14, which now seems much more winnable, could become the linchpin for both teams' season.

8. Arizona: The Wildcats pretty much did what everyone expected against Northern Arizona. Now they head to UNLV, a slightly tougher test, as it's never easy to win on the road, particularly with a new starting QB. Still, we won't know who Arizona is until it visits Washington on Sept. 28.

9. California: Cal had its chances against Northwestern, and freshman QB Jared Goff certainly flashed promise, but a pair of pick-sixes did in the Bears. The Bears defense, though missing a handful of starters, was a bit of a disappointment, as was the O-line, which yielded four sacks and didn't run block very well after the first drive. Cal has Portland State before Ohio State comes to town on Sept. 14.

10. Washington State: The Cougars surely have a lot of regrets from their Auburn trip. It was a game they could have won, if not for a few mistakes. Winning at USC on Saturday would be a red-letter victory Mike Leach could hang his hat on. That said -- and you know Leach and his players would never say this -- another competitive performance could be enough for this team to buy into its improvement.

11. Colorado: Buffs, congrats on rising from the basement. That was a quality win over Colorado State. Now don't blow it by overlooking Central Arkansas.

12. Oregon State: Bad Beavers! Bad! Very bad. We projected a 7-0 start. Now, with the defensive showing against Eastern Washington, we have no idea. The first step toward redemption is taking out frustrations on Hawaii.
