As much as it sucks for Neuvy, I think his injury helps the Flyers. Mason is a headcase and needs to know he's the guy before he starts playing well. Now he's the guy, now he'll start playing well. You could see it from the game on Saturday, he came in and played superbly. When he knows he's the guy, he's the better goalie of the two IMO. Plus he's not made of glass.
I watched the game on Saturday and superbly would not be the word i used for Masons play in that game. He did play batter than he has been. Hopefully you are right and he takes off from here knowing he is the man.

What up boys! Man this year is flying on by. Let's hope Mase can turn this around quickly.

We're outshooting teams 214-154 just this month, the puck luck just largely is not going our way. Also our power play can pretty much do anything it wants to and our penalty kill is much better of late. Keep firing away and things will only improve.

Quite honestly, I don't think the stats of our goaltenders can possibly get any worse. I mean Mase is at 3-5-2 with a .880 save percentage and 3.41 goals against average and we're still 7-7-2. That's pretty incredible really.

We have scored a lot of goals this season and winning is still hard to come by. Turnovers in our own zone and and terrible goalie play is why we are only 7-7-2. If we can solve both those problems we will be fine.

I thought the Toronto loss would be one of the worst of the year. Last night i was more disappointed in that loss.

At least we played a 58 minute game last night and didn't take a whole period off.

Is it possible to send Wiese down and bring up Colin MacDonald. Same type of player but MacDonald has way more impact on the game.

Ghost is a healthy scratch tonight. A Mac takes his place.

a win by more than 1 goal! It's a miracle!

Mase played very well last night.

Don't like the Ghost scratch, but i expect we'll see it again tomorrow since they won last night.

I would've liked to see more shots on net last night, but we learned a lesson from the game before. Entering the 3rd period at home with a lead, you have to put your foot on the gas and finish them. We absolutely failed miserably to do that against Ottawa when we had numerous chances to get another goal and close them out. Mostly our power play didn't outwork their penalty kill throughout the final period of that one.

Ghost is leading our defense in ice time per game, so it was shocking to see him sit as a healthy scratch, but it shows just how much depth we have at that position and yes, MacDonald needs to get into some games.

I figure maybe a guy like Streit gets a rest here at some point and Ghost takes his place. This is a good problem to have, but we definitely want to have MacDonald at risk in the expansion draft.

So many guys on this team are playing well right now. I would put Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Konecny, Read, Raffl, PEB and now Mason all in that group at the moment. Provorov and Manning are mostly pretty solid on the back end right now too.

The goal by Couturier and strong game by Mase will hopefully inject some confidence into them. I think Sean is better defensively than some of our defensemen...Lol The play where he neutralized Scheifele one on one from the left D spot and stole the puck was pretty slick.

Was his scratch one of those get your shit together scratches.....
IMO, his passing has been a tad sloppy, but that's just me!!!

I think it is more along the lines of letting everyone know that virtually anyone can be a healthy scratch and you need to earn your spot on the roster. Ghost hasn't quite been there defensively at times and was on the wrong end of some turnovers, for sure. That and it almost seems like it was just his turn to take his lumps and return all fired up. I'll be really surprised if he gets benched again tomorrow, despite the win without him.

This technique has certainly worked for other guys like Raffl and Manning.
