This is an excellent question that i dont know the answer to. I have a different question about the expansion draft if anyone knows the answer you can answer both at the same time. Can we say communicate with Vegas and tell them if they take McDonald we will give them a future draft pick?

Yes, I'm pretty sure side deals to either take a certain player or NOT take a certain player can be made. I believe the question is whether or not those types of deals will be disclosed publicly.

Well, Vegas has to take SOMEONE from the Flyers. Basically 3 of those 4 guys are saying that there's no one worth taking from the Flyers who would crack Vegas' 23 man roster. Sad statement on the Flyers' depth.

Nice win tonight. I think we probably deserved it in regulation, but this is going to end up being too little, too late with Boston and Carolina also winning. Boston and Tampa play each other soon too, which means one of them will definitely get two points that night.

Despite the giveaway by Anderson which led to the tying goal, he played extremely well and muted several high quality chances that we had, especially early in the third period. Konecny should've had one on him about four minutes into the final frame, but tried to go five hole instead of pulling it wide and pumping it into a gaping net. Weise with the breakaway late too and then a crushing hit afterwards. He is finally doing something, anything. Maybe he's making a play to be our 7th protected forward.

Our only shot at staying in the playoff race is to win Thursday at home in regulation against NYI while Boston and Tampa both lose at home in regulation. Then we'd be even with the Isles, one point back of Tampa and four points back of Boston. Otherwise, this will be essentially over.

I just don't see them both losing on home ice against definite non-playoff teams.

This is right on the money. Why cant we play with urgency for a full season or most times even 60 full minutes.

Winning is nice but winning after you are just about eliminated and getting a worse draft pick is just disheartening.
