I saw that and I suspect Lecavalier is indeed going to call it a career.
He wasn't getting re-signed regardlessWas about to post this.... glad I took a look around.
WTF was he thinking???? this will probably buy him a ticket out of town.
He probably knew it was his last days as a Flyer and he was so sad he went to drown his sorrows. Was about to post this.... glad I took a look around.

If we are going to let Ryan White go I would love to replace him with Matt Martin of the Islanders. That would keep Simmer from having to fight and he wouldn't be sitting in the box for 5 minutes a pop.
If I could see Simmer whip someone's butt in a fight every game I would definitely love that but IMO he is to valuable to our team to sit in the box for 5 minutes or risk injury in a fight.I actually think Simmonds plays better when he fights. It seems to keep him engaged. There were times during the season when he seemed to be coasting and not playing physical hockey.
This is a great story. I hated him on the Rags and Pens and I liked him ever since he came back from Russia. This shit is unreal. He'll be turning 45 next season and he may have had a shot at a couple of Gretzky's records (most goals, for one) if he had not gone to the KHL for a few seasons.
They say father time always wins out. Well, I am not so sure in this case.
I definitely wouldn't mind Washington coming back and winning this series.
I guess I have to start rooting for TB now but it will tough without Stamkos and Stralman. It would've been nice, but scratch that. After watching the second and third periods, the blinding north/south speed of Pittsburgh was way too much for Washington, as expected. It appears that they are pulling another rabbit out of their hats with a coaching change and Cup all in the same year...again. Pretty depressing to watch...
