I've seen this a couple places, didn't they already resign him?

The 26th I believe is day 1.

Barzal!
Whoever we get will be an impact player for us which we sorely need. Hexy said forward but I have a feeling he will be looking to get Proverov

I'm actually wondering if the Flyers will trade down with someone looking to get Provorov/Werenski/Hanifin. That's not a position of need right now.

Say they move down to the 12-16 pick range, they could probably add a couple more picks. For example, the Bruins. What if the Flyers could move from 7 to 13 and add 37? Then they'd have 13, 29, 37, and 61. 4 picks in the first 2 rounds would be nice. Might even be able to get more than 37 to move down 6 spots. Maybe you can get 75 too.

Konecny, Meier, Svechnikov would be around at 13. Sprong, Roy, Kylington, Merkley might be available at 29 and 37. Might also be in a spot to take Samsonov (best Goalie by most accounts). You could end up with a serious re-tooling of the prospect pool by doing that.

I know we don't need another defenseman but having too many where as we could trade from strength. Plus we don't know how many of our current crop of young defenseman will pan out. Teams may want a guy like Hagg to sweeten a package and we bring back a top left wing.

More picks would be nice and I see where you're going, this team needs more depth but I don't think you can discount how finally this team has a high pick in a really deep draft, I think you have to keep the pick at the very least and go with the best talent at 7 - if anything I think they should use some of their current roster to get more picks in instead of trading down - if there's any way possible to rid theirselves of a d-man or two at the draft, you can gain picks that way

truth. I'm just wondering how much you can get from teams looking for those top 3 dmen. The flyers are in a nice spot at 7 and there will be lots of talent, but if someone needs dmen (most teams), you might be able to move back a couple picks, add a late first/early second, and still be able to pick from nearly the same pool of forwards (depending on how far down you trade).

Hey guys, since Frank Seravalli is leaving the Philly Daily News to work for TSN Hockey can you recommend some other Flyers beat writers to follow outside of Pannacio and Carchidi? Thanks!
