it really depends on what Timonen wants to do. And I wouldn't put him in the NHL right away, if coaching is what he wants, he should probably start out at the AHL level. He has no coaching experience, so I'm not sure popping him right in to the NHL is the best plan.

Damn it.. I just hate the Sabres. They are going to have a very good team in tact. A good coaching staff followed with a good pool of prospects. I say in about 3 years they will be a legit contender. Tim Murray just rubs me off as a whiny bitch. When things don't go his way, he plays the victim card. Hence, the 2nd pick instead of the 1st.
On another note, maybe this opens the door for Timonen in Lehigh Valley in a role?

I guess it paid off for Buffalo to tank.

I wouldn't mind seeing Timmo in the minors coaching our young defense and then coming up with them to the big club the year after next season.

So that would be like moving the 7th overall, Samuel Morin or Travis Sanheim and a player like Brayden Schenn

Exactly...one report I saw stated that the 3rd player needed to be a top six forward on an ELC

And the Flyers don't technically have a top six player with an ELC - Scott Laughton has an ELC but he's not a top six forward

I wasn't even considering the flyers being an option...just in general Chicago is crazy if they think they are getting anything close to that for a declining 34 year old forward that the whole league knows they are trying to dump for cap purposes
