Not necessarily. We're 12-6-2 across that stretch anyway, so I'll take the offense over the defense any day of the week. We got blown away five times in those 20 games and Emery was the starter in three of them. I think that skews the numbers a bit and I also think we can and will improve defensively. The penalty kill is already quickly becoming one of the best in the Nhl.
I just don't want this team to become too much of a run-and-gun team. Those teams find themselves on the golf course early on in the playoffs. Although, it's great that we're actually able to use the words Flyers and Playoffs in the same sentence again without wanting to puke.
