I just walked 10 blocks to the NHL store to get a Giroux tee shirt with his name and number on the back and they didnt have any. They had every other good player on every other team, they even had Hartnell and no Giroux.The only thing in the whole store they had with Gee on it was the orange jersey. I couldnt believe it dammit what a waste of time.

We finally got a damn break and saw all of the teams with a chance to tie or pass us lose. That was way overdue. Loving sole possession of a playoff position with a game in hand on both NJ and NYR. It's no coincidence either. I honestly feel we're just better than all of these teams around us and the recent games we've played only speak to that. The one game we "lost" to the Caps in a shootout was a game we probably should've won 5-2 with an empty netter, then we came back and made up for that by beating them up by the same score at home.

I'm not just happy limping into the playoffs either. I think we can continue to improve and climb the standings throughout the season. Maybe we can even give the Pens a run for their money before all is said and done. It's a long season.

Agree with all points - Flyers just need to keep on winning and taking care of their own business - it's a long season so I'm sure they're going to lose a few games here and there but if they're consistently good they'll be in a good spot when all is set and done

Pittsburgh has gone 15-3-1 overall, including 9-0 at Consol since we beat them there in regulation on November 13th. While it will be extremely difficult to catch them, we still have three more chances to beat them head to head and they are bound to cool off eventually. Either way, I expect our stock to only rise for the remainder of the season.

Right now we have a very effective third line and definitely a one-two punch with G and V streaking on the top line, plus Raffl getting it done all over the ice. Upon the return of Lecavalier in a week, that second line could easily catch fire and then we're rolling.

G is suddenly tied for 20th in scoring with 9 other players and his +/- is back to even. I could see him getting into the top ten in short order with the way he is playing at the moment. This six game road trip will be a test given that we're 6-9-4 on the road and that last trip didn't go so well. I think we're up for the challenge though.
