Shock - Ronaldo made it all about himself! I half hope Portugal get to the final against Messi and then leave him on the bench the whole game.

He's really making it hard to even kind of like him right now.

Not that I really see a path for Portugal here. There's no chance this manager leaves Ronaldo on the bench and as long as 38 year old Ronaldo is the singular focal point of the attack this team is going to struggle.

It's crazy that when they announced that Russia and Qatar would host the 2018 & 2022 tournaments over either England or Spain/Portugal and the US looked bad and yet both hosts turned out to be so much fucking worse than we thought at the time.

It's more a shambles. Ghana had the pen to win it, missed, then blew the shootout despite Uruguay not having Suarez.

There was the sentimental side of seeing an African nation make the semis but that shit was selfless as hell from Suarez.

Do we have any sort of attendance figures yet? Like is every game a sellout? I know countries buy tickets to their teams games but are people actually travelling to Qatar in large numbers?
