3. Most Consecutive Games without a Defeat

Date: 1907-17

Record Holder: Washington

Record:
64 games

In a streak that kicked off more than 100 years ago, Washington didn’t lose a game between its scoreless tie with Whitman on Nov. 28, 1907 and its 14-6 win over the same team on Oct. 20, 1917. The run ended on Nov. 3, 1917 when the Huskies traveled to Berkeley and got shut out 27-0 by Cal.

What prevents Washington from overtaking Oklahoma’s 47-game mark for the most consecutive victories are three ties: a 6-6 decision with Washington State in 1908, a 0-0 outcome with Oregon State in 1914 and a 0-0 game with Oregon in 1916.

Most all-purpose yards gained in a quarter

Record-holder:
305 yards, Corey Dillon, Washington vs. San Jose State (1996)

The incredible part of this record isn’t just the total, but it’s the fact that it’s not inflated by a couple of long kick or punt returns. Plus, it came in the first quarter, so Dillon was sitting at 222 rushing yards and 83 receiving yards entering the second quarter.

At that point, what do you even tell your unit if you’re a defensive coordinator?

So if this record is ever to be broken, it would probably be accomplished by a player (likely a running back who’s also a returner on special teams) running back a kickoff 90-plus yards and having another one or two return opportunities — on top of having a really productive quarter as a rusher and receiver.

Essentially, it would take three explosive plays of at least 50 yards and probably 10 to 15 touches in the quarter to surpass Dillon’s mark. That’s why we don’t think it’ll be broken.

Another record Washington proudly owns.

Washington finishes 0-12 season with loss to Cal

Washington concluded the first winless season in school history Saturday, with California’s Jahvid Best rushing for a school-record 311 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-7 victory over the Huskies and outgoing coach Tyrone Willingham.

Falling behind 31-0 by halftime, Washington (0-12, 0-9 Pac-10) wrapped up its miserable year as the nation’s only winless school and the first 0-12 team in conference history. The Huskies, who already announced Willingham’s departure in late October, have lost 14 straight since their last victory, over Cal in Seattle late last season.

Washington is expected to introduce Southern California offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian as early as Sunday to replace Willingham, the former Stanford and Notre Dame coach who won just 11 games in four seasons with the Huskies.

Most likely won't get broken, but Travis Etienne is pretty close to the record of Most Yards Gained Per Rush, Career. The record holder is 8.26 from some guy at Army. Etienne is at 7.8

This one could be broken relatively quickly. The DSOR is five games behind them and has a possibility of being played twice in some years in the SECCG:

2. Most-Played Rivalry

  1. Date: 1890-2014

    Record Holder: Minnesota-Wisconsin
Record: 124 games

In 1980 or 1981 I went to the Portland State vs Delaware State game. Neil Lomax had 7 TD passes in one quarter and went on to win 105-0. 7 TD passes in one quarter!!!!! Don’t think that will be broke.

Couple years later I attended an Oregon/Oregon State game that ended 0-0. Obviously that is a record that will never be beat.

In 1971 Gregg Pruitt averaged 9 yards/carry for the Sooners gaining 1760 yards out of the Wishbone formation. Gregg is a good guy. We used to laugh when he would wear a tee shirt around campus that said "Hello" on the front and "Goodbye" on the back. One day at practice (on a hot as hell day), Head Coach Chuck Fairbanks was pissed off that the O wasn't looking sharp enough. So he kept them out there on the field running play after play until they improved. Finally, Jack Mildren told Gregg in the huddle to "just fucking score, Gregg" and Gregg went all the way on the next play from the 40. Scrimmage over.

Hey, Goldbug, learn to proofread. Greg's name is misspelled every time in your last post.
