I've been critical of Manning this season, and most of it has been unfair. Looking back I must acknowledge that Manning coming here immediately made us a contender. If not for Manning, where would Brandon Marshall be? And you can not minimalize the impact Manning had on teammates and their approach and study of the game. The guy was a true leader for our team, albeit a short time, and we got the trophy during his tenure. Yes his physical attributes have fallen off, but you can't take all the other tangibles he brings for granted. This team rallied around Manning starting at the San Diego game and never looked more dominant. Thank you Peyton Manning

Your thread is dumb because you're complaining about Manning taking his time to decide whether or not to retire. Like it or not that's a huge decision that will affect the rest of his life. Just because you think and I think he should retire doesn't make the decision easy.

Your thread is dumb because you're complaining about the qb play when we just won the Super Bowl. Who cares how bad the qb played, when it doesn't matter because we won the Super Bowl? You can speculate all you want to about how we would have won the Super Bowl more easily with another qb, but that's just a guess. All we know is that we did win the Super Bowl with Manning.

For example, when someone suggests that having Manning here made Denver a more attractive location for free agents, you turn around and ask for a list of free agents that signed here solely because of Manning, which of course no one suggested actually happened.

When someone said that had Manning decided to retire right after the Super Bowl, that would have distracted from the other guys celebrating a championship, you complained that him not announcing his retirement was a distraction because it left people to speculate. In other words, you set up a lose/lose scenario for Manning so that you could complain about him and dislike him either way.

We're all aware that Manning hasn't been a very good qb for the last year and change, but suggesting that he just came back to break records is moronic. Maybe, just maybe, he came back to try to win another Super Bowl? Did you notice he took a paycut last year to come back? And do you remember what his incentives were to recoup that money? It had nothing to do with personal records, it was only by the Broncos winning the Super Bowl that he got that money back.

Your thread is dumb because Manning's decision has no bearing on the Broncos. Whether he decides to play again or retire, Manning is done with the Broncos. I'm sure the team would prefer that he retire so they don't have to cut him, but they will cut him if they have to. So you're essentially complaining about a non-issue.

Letting the team celebrate the victory with minimal press about Manning was the right move. I did not say it had really anything to do with the future. However (AGAIN) based on what schefter said on Mike and mike, the Broncos are more frustrated than they are letting on.
