The Leaders Championship Game Thread (Wisconsin @ Purdue)

These are the two best eligible teams in the Leaders division, playing today at 11:00 Central on the B1G Network. A Wisconsin win puts us heavily in the drivers seat (we'd be 1.5 games up with a tiebreak, so really 2.5 games up). A Purdue win and they a half game up on us with the head to head advantage.

My hunch is the Badgers win the game, but if the Purdue that showed up against Notre Dame returns, it is far from guaranteed.

Purdue's offense is better than Wisky offense.

I think our offense has been better than people have given it credit for when Abby is there as a deep threat. We've had somewhere around 400 YPG and 32 PPG when he has played most of the game. That's nowhere near last year, but also nowhere near the anemic image that the press is trying to portray. Purdue's stats are only slightly better than that, and they did it against worst defenses (with the exception of ND).

Purdue scores in about fifteen seconds. Big return and then a deep pass where Terbush had about ten seconds to throw.

SOS was the only thing I didn't like about taking Purdue here. Wisky 30th/Purdue 92nd.

I had to pick one so I went with offensive stats carrying more weight.

We've used multiple guys. The guy against you (Russell) is different than French (the guy today). And both suck. I had high hopes that our staff would be able to replace Welch well, but no avail. I don't think there is a scholarship recruit at kicker or punter on our roster.
