The Lakers passed on Brown and Tatum respectively for Ingram and Ball.

Stephen A has no concept of cap details I assume. Klay would have to accept the MLE at best, and more likely the tax payer MLE or vet min to come to the Lakers. It's just another case of free agent using the threat of the Lakers as leverage.

I would assume the move up is NOT for a big and likely for Holland? He seems to be the best talent that has some volatility to his draft slot due to the mess his team was in the G League. Not sure what the Lakers could offer to move up that high?

I'm fine with a big at 17 if the prime wing options are depleted. I prefer Holmes, but Ware, Misi, Edey are all fallback options (in that order I guess)? Lakers need to be prepared to draft the sliding prospect (whether that be Carter, Collier, Walter, etc.). That was the big fail last season, failing to capitalize on Whitmore's surprising slide.

He's not going anywhere for a vet min. If they want to do a large S&T (and gut their roster behind Doncic and Kyrie), then maybe there's a chance.
