Cap space shouldn't be an issue. Because of the new cap rules, the Lakers will have to send out more salary than they bring back due to being over the 1st apron. If DLo opts in, the Murray deal becomes a little easier, but probably requires a 3rd team. At least there are teams that are known to be at least interested in DLo compared to the trade deadline.
Reaves, JHS, Reddish and some 1st rounders could work for Murray.

Yep, this was part of the childish retort of Jeanie Buss who claimed that the Logo said bad things about Phil Jackson when he was coaching the Lakers. That story has never been proven but Jerry West HIRED Phil Jackson as the Lakers HC when Jerry West was the GM.

lost all respect of Jeanie Buss when she did this and other low life bullshit acts that essentially drove Jerry West away from the Lakers for good.

The reason the Lakers have been struggling since Phil left for New York is due to the idiot Buss siblings who run the Lakers organization and none of them really know what the hell they are doing. Thus the need for consultants like Kurt Rambis and that ridiculously outta touch FO.

We got a title....just saying.

But, as many coaches as we have had since Phil definitely isn't good.

If Redick makes the right hires for assistant coaches he could succeed. Needs to call SVG up as well as the other rumored guys. Doubt Brooks and Cassell come though. Their teams will want to keep them. Hell, I heard the Mavs love Dudley....

The Lakers will try to avoid moving Reaves I'm sure. Adding a 2nd 1st to the offer made at the deadline should get the job done (if they're still willing to move him).

SVG is rumored to be an option for his staff. Portland is not going to re-sign Brooks, whose contract has expired. Or, at least they weren't going to before he became an option for the Lakers. That status has triggered a lot of extensions and promotions the past month or so lol.

JVG just was added to the ClipJoint staff so maybe SVG wants to be in the same town as his brother.

This supports the speculations the Lakers are moving up into 12-14 spots in the draft. maybe this is the move they will do to get Edey.

More speculation coming-up on the draft.

Some questionable analysis in that article. Lakers fell short on 3pt shooting? Just attempts, they were 8th in 3% but 28th in attempts. That's a coaching issue, not a shooting problem. Lebron, Rui and DLo were all 41% or higher and Prince was at 39.6%.

I really don't think a trade up would be for Edey. More likely one of the guys that they worked out that isn't expected to be there at 17 (Holland, Carter). At 17 there will be multiple big options (some mix of Edey, Holmes, Ware, Misi, etc).

Another Bleacher Report speculation has the Lakers taking Edey at 17 and not trading up for him. Dude is 7-4, 300lbs at Center. Just what we need to move AD to more time at the 4.

I don't see it. They need a floor spacer to move AD to the 4, and Edey has only shown range in predraft workouts. He'd be a solid backup to AD, but would clog the paint if played with AD.

I don't know shopson. I think we need a lane-clogger for a change. A true Center. AD apparently doesn't want to play the 5 all the time. He wants to more time at the 4 but may Redick wants better defense and kid with kind of body and size is just what we need. You can always rotate in Vanderbilt or a floor space like Hayes or Wood.
