I agree DJ. The latest on Lopez is that he has cooled his jets on the money demands and the Lakers and Pelinka are talking again as the Lakers want another big to fill the last spot!
He signed with the Bucks for 2 years and 48 mill.

Well. I guess the last spot may be filled by one of the Summer League roster bigs.

Yeah, they need another Center on the roster for AD’s inevitable injury bug time frame.

He has never played an 82 game season. And the most games he has played in a season as a Laker was 62.

Question is, do they develop 2 young guys behind him ( Hayes and Castleton ), or go with a veteran.

Walker is gone. Signed a one year deal with the Nets. Bamba and Beasley are still out there. Lakers are still interested in both but for less money.

Beas to Milwaukee....

I think we might get Bamba back at the vet minimum.

Is he the right center to sign?

WHEN Davis gets hurt, do the Lakers really want to role with Hayes and Mamba?

The Lakers are deeper....if AD gets hurt....go with Russell, Reaves, Vincent, James and 1 of those guys at C. Others gotta step up when AD goes down.

Lakers have nobody on their summer league roster that can shoot or defend the 3.

They absolutely got killed against the Heat as they couldn’t hit 3’s and the Heat were hitting theirs with very little defense in front of them.

Not great games by the 2 rookies.

The rooks and UDFAs have to start making the mental transition from the college to pro game. They all looked behind!!

Yeah, if Whitmore has a good summer league and Schifino doesn’t, it’s going to look bad for the Lakers that they passed on him.

I hope that’s not the case

No complaints about what the Lakers have done this off-season.

I would have preferred to keep Schroder, but Vincent should be fine as a replacement.

I was also hoping Beasley would be back because I believe he's better than he showed last season. I think he just got caught up with the numbers when Ham was trying to get the rotation set.

Just getting Reaves and Rui back on relatively reasonable deals made it a successful off-season. The fact that they were able to get deeper and stay young is good as well. Looks like they're trying to win now while preparing for the future. That's a smart way to go, imo.

Yep TJF12. The fact that they got Reaves, Hachimura, DRus, and Vanderbilt back and then added all that vet talent. Very successful off-season. They also may bring Bamba back as well. I like all the moves a d Ham even got his old assistant to come to the Lakers. Number 18, in the ring department, is getting closer still!!

Yeah, I would still have Denver as the favorite to come out of the West...but this team, with a full training camp and a healthy Lebron and AD is right there in the mix and could be the favorite by the time we get to the playoffs.

Ironic that the best rookie on the Lakers has been the undrafted rookie Castleton.

Schifino has looked good recently, but Castleton has been consistent throughout and getting better.

Harry Giles had a workout in Vegas this week and looked to be in great shape and with a solid jumper out to 3 pt range. Those workouts don't really show defense/rebounding, so far from a complete picture, but his shooting had previously been a major flaw.

It’s still early, but the Lakers passing on Whitmore to take JHS is looking like a big mistake.

I don’t know what medical issues there supposedly are , but he has been dominant so far.
