Can't figure the Schroeder saga. He played well enough off the bench especially defensively but with all the youngsters and additions at guard, I suppose he figured he is not going to get his big money hanging around. Maybe he'll end-up back the Celtics!

They couldn’t afford him with what the Raptors offered.

And the Raptors offer was a quick reaction after losing VanFleet. Not sure Schröder earns that contract playing for them.

Wish they could’ve got Russell for cheaper, but his 2nd year is a player option. So, he may opt out after this next season.

I’m glad they didn’t get Lopez and shifted to Hayes instead.

Yes me too, ALR. When rumors began to swirl about the Lakers interest, apparently Lopez starting amping up the rhetoric about how he wanted a max deal type money. The Lakers dropped him like a rock thrown out of airplane!! No more interest dude!!

Bouncy, rim runner and rebounder, a bit immature but hope Ham can get him to grow up. Not the shooter Lopez is but he got 24 mill per from the Bucks.

Hayes had a good season 2 years ago....maybe he can recapture that.

I agree DJ. The latest on Lopez is that he has cooled his jets on the money demands and the Lakers and Pelinka are talking again as the Lakers want another big to fill the last spot!

Hayes averaged 9.3ppg and 4.5rpg 2 years ago. If he can close to that he will be a nice player for us. And get 20 or so starts when AD inevitably gets hurt.
