Gotta admit….. don‘t think we are getting what we paid for from this lineup so far. Very underwhelming.
Can't keep from wondering why. Seager is fine but Semien and Garver are becoming a concern. Not time to panic but fans do have the right to be somewhat concerned.

Not worried about Semien yet. Semien actually has twice as many XBH as Seager at the moment.

Pretty worried about Garver, especially since he was good during the first TOR series.

Lowe and Heim are bright spots at the moment.

Re Burke to starting rotation. That was addressed in post conference. Woody states that Burke can only a few innings and that would tax the pen given Howard being there slow only able to go a few.

My take Woody was frustrated with his pitching including Hearn but especially Howard. He comes across like he has no options. Glad Otto has a start. My problem is why he put Burke instead of Allard today. If Burke can not truly start then he needs to be played as a winning piece not mop up to bad SP. He has done this twice

So yes the Hearn pitch count frustrated him as well as other starters not going deep innings wise

We are days away from roster shrinkage
Burke could go to Round Rock and pitch 3 games there and return as a starter. He could have started the season there and been ready to start by now. Woody is using a very flimsy excuse.

That is a good idea unless something is being hidden. Whatever is going on I do not like his current usage. Waste of talent

Bear in mind that Woody doesn't decide who plays in Round Rock or not. Not saying it's not a flimsy excuse, but I'm not sure it's Woody's excuse.

From Jamey Newberg's mailbag column:

Who’s a player we’re not talking about now that might force their way to Arlington? —Anthony Burris Jr.

This year? Sidewinding right-handed reliever Chase “The Viper” Lee, who will be featured shortly in my four-part Rangers-prospect ranking series over at The Athletic.

Longer term? Lefty starter Larson Kindreich, who was drafted two rounds after Lee a year ago.

what was the Cody Q
I have been trying for weeks to find out how his rehab is going, but no one will even acknowledge the question. I have asked several people. Evan answered questions about why he is sexy and which BBQ he favors, but chose not to answer my question about Cody. Lol

So, the pitching-poor top of the draft becomes even poorer with Lesko having Tommy John surgery.

He's not wrong here. The cost to go to a game now is staggering.

family entertainment……haha

I remember that year the rangers made some woman who had a “Yankees suck” shirt go to the bathroom, and turn it inside out. I was planning to go to a game that year, but didn’t because of that shitty policy.

I don’t have a problem with families coming to the ball park. I just wish we would be like the Red Sox or cardinals and cater more to the hardcore baseball fan than the fan who drives a mini van and takes their little kids to soccer games over the weekend.

What are other teams doing to cater to more "hardcore" baseball fans?

Back in the day we drove a minivan and brought small kids to the game. I was about as hard core as you could find back then. I even had my own scorebook and kept score. I would listen to the radio broadcast while at the game. You don't have to act like Yankees fans or Eagles fans to be hard core.
