I see six because I include Parada. I can understand the thought process behind taking Johnson, Jones, Lee, Holliday, Parada or Green. Personally, I would be disappointed not getting Johnson or Jones, especially if we pass on them. I cannot blame them for taking any of the six though.

I am the most suspicious of Elijah Green though.

Also, I think Cam Collier has climbed up to be very close to joining those 6 guys.

Most won't respond until 3 years from now when they say, we should never have taken said player because of such and such......my list would go:

Didnt the Braves give up their top prospect plus 2 other prospects for the #27 pick? Seems like a high price for the 27th best player in the draft, maybe just me......

Yes, but their top prospect was no better than our 7th best prospect. He wasn't in the overall top 100 and our top six are. If Waters had been here he would be maybe even lower than our 7th.

I think it is for pick 35 or so.

And we would most likely be trading for a less valuable pick.

I believe the first name I ever saw mocked to the Rangers about a year ago was Jacob Berry. He fell below number 10 in most mocks for most of this year. I have just recently started to see him in the top 7 or 8 again.

And he seems committed to not letting Burke begin to be stretched out to start and for Alexy to not be named a starter even though it appears he was called up for Friday's bullpen game.

I would not be surprised to find out the FO is committed to acquiring a starting pitcher or two in a few days.
