It is a good time for us to lose. That was a great game … M’s keep it going
Keep it going after the break. Not tomorrow
That hit and run in the 9th was a huge moment, bad luck it went straight to the first baseman for the double play, that gets down the line it was game time …It is a good time for us to lose.
I would love to see that lineup everyday. Miller and Calhoun need to be riding the bench or traded.C - Heim/Huff
1B - Lowe/Huff
2B - Semien
3B - Smith
SS - Seager
LF - Duran/Hernandez
CF - Tavares
RF - Garcia
DH - Huff
Who I'd like to see the rest of the year in the starting lineup... barring trades of course
I'd honestly be okay with trading Jung, Foscue, Huff, Garcia, Lowe and some others for the right thing and clear up some 40 man spots for next year
Don't want to see White, Winn, Leiter, Duran or Smith going anywhere though
We have 27 games this month. What record over these 27 games tells management that this team is not ready to contend and we need to trade off a couple of veterans and go with youngsters? On the other hand which record tempts management into making a couple of acquisitions to help us push for the postseason this year.
My guesses are:
10 -17
16-11
He has been awful lately. A lot of K's.Calhoun bad AB
I am not so sure that was a hit and run per Woody interview. Wonder if a stealThat hit and run in the 9th was a huge moment, bad luck it went straight to the first baseman for the double play, that gets down the line it was game time …
BTW do think you guys have a pretty quality beat guy like Divish. And the announcer Niehaus was a gem. Other teams are not as fortunate to have guys call games with as much enthusiasm as he did. Some of his calls were greatness. We have one announcer on the radio, Nadel who has that same genuineness enthusiasm as his mentor Holtz did. That hit and run in the 9th was a huge moment, bad luck it went straight to the first baseman for the double play, that gets down the line it was game time …
was spit balling. someone here has suggested that if we are going to bring people up they should play every game and that means either benching someone like Lowe or Heim or trading or DFA'ing them. i think it is stupid personallyWhy on earth would we DFA Heim? if someone actually suggested that, they're a moron
like i said you seem to know more than anyone so maybe you should be in the front office or maybe in the dugout as managerMy concerns did not start this month. My post earlier spelled out how I see the rebuild as being derailed over the course of the last 12 months. On top of that, we have a very bad manager, and we do not appear to have a front office that can tell how bad he is. That makes me think they are all on the same page.
Now, whether that means the sky is falling or not, is up to interpretation and depends on one's goals for the team. Those who simply want a team that finishes over. 500 and stays in the wildcard race most seasons should be ecstatic. Those who desire to be arguably the best team in baseball and to win a World Series, not so much.
