Last night showed the ultimate difference between Lebron and Jordan and Kobe Lebron has an inflated resume due to feasting on scrub competition for years and he looks like hammered shit when he plays conpetiton on par to him

Jordan/Kobe had far greater competition and were 10 times the competitors leQueen ever was
Lebron is nothing but a weak competition bully
Lebron doesn't belong in the same sentence with those two guys

Jordan is #1 all time in PER, Lebron is #2, and it's extremely close.
PER doesn't give enough credit to the great passing/facilitators or defensive greats like Magic and Russell, but it works well for players who did everything at an elite level.
MJ was best at asserting his will at crunch time in the biggest games, that's where he has it over LBJ.

Kareem and Bird were about skill and grace?

Kareem was all skill and grace. The skyhook? C'mon.

Bird was all about skill more than grace; he certainly wasn't overpowering people, bullying his way to the hoop.

That was what I was responding to.

And? I said much about, not all about. Lebron is at his best going to the basket IMO, although he has improved his shooting proficiency as his career has progressed. He's not doing that with cross overs, spin moves and amazing handles; he's doing that with speed and power that is extremely difficult to match for a man of his size and handle. What truly sets Lebron apart are his ball skills for man of his size. He's Karl Malone sized, but faster, more agile, and with a much better handle and excellent court vision; a matchup nightmare.

PER doesn't do a lot to evaluate defense either, which it's biggest drawback. The only mainstream statistics for defense are things like steals and blocks, which don't necessarily measure true defensive ability, but more the proclivity to gamble on defense (and succeed more than others).
