This should be great. Fantastic Four should finally get the treatment it deserves by being in the MCU umbrella.

Hopefully they get Thing and Doom right. Those have both been disasters.

Duplicate post.

So.... I hope they do the same to X-Men and make it right. That was my favorite as a kid. I would also like to see Jon Bernthals interpretation of Wolverine. I like the potential of the look.

I'd like a future Wolverine to be on the shorter side.

Tom Hardy wouldn't be a bad Wolverine whenever they decide to cast the character.

I've heard him mentioned a few times and I am open to it, but personally, from what I have seen from.... the perfect casting of Bernthal as Punisher, that he has the attitude/acting to embody the character and I like the fan made look. I can't say the same from Hardy. Punisher and Wolverine are very similar characters stylistically as well.

Idk, I would love to see an audition tape of both of them in full makeup and dress lol.

I dunno. Neither is worried about death. Logan cuz he can't die, at least not easily. Whereas Frank Castle just don't seem to give a fuck if he does. That's a pretty big difference. right there.

FF was the top dog in the marvel comic book world when I was growing up. Bigger than the X Men, bigger than Spidey.

Another heavy hitter was Prince Namor, the Sub Mariner. If I'm remembering correctly he was a strong as the Hulk and was not to be trifled with with his winged ankled ass. They'll put some pants on his ass or long tights. What made me laugh then and makes me laugh now Namor's outfit amouted to some tighty whiteys that was green in color and looked like scales, but my man had a belt, a skinny yellow one. That became a major fuckin thing. A mystery, wrapped in a shroud, hidden by a cloud disguised by an enigma protected by darkness and light itself. That fuckin belt. Why did Namor need that belt.!

I hope Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are writing this. They wrote the past 2 Spidey movies, Ant Man & the Wasp, some Community and a bunch of American Dad episodes.

Depends on the direction MCU wants to go. If they want a more playful presentation of FF, that would be a good route. Honestly not a bad idea considering all the FF movie presentations to date have them being serious. A more comedic tone would set that apart from the others.

But at the same time, a lot of the newer MCU have more comedic elements to them. The films you listed, the Guardians movies, the more recent Thor movies, etc. Might be time to have another part of the MCU be more serious in nature how like the Capt America and Iron Man movies were.

For Thing, the voice is more important than the look. The actor will only be “himself” for maybe the first 1/3 of the first movie (assuming they do an origin story). He will be CGI for the rest of the run.

I am more interested to see who they cast as Doom. That will be a major character for multiple IPs moving forward. Maybe even be the main baddie after Kang. I always like Julian McMahon’s take. But 1) he has already done it and 2) he is probably too old now.

Will they intro Doom in Black Panther 2? Or will they wait for F4?

This is false information. In the tweet thread, the tweeter calls its source "IMDB's Marvel page" but then gives the link, which is not "IMDB's Marvel page" but just a fan-made list by a user named "Jake279". Any IMDB user can create a list of whatever actors and actresses they want; doesn't mean it means anything.
Thanks for looking into that deeper... My bad

Release date just announced at SDCC 2022 as Friday, November 8, 2024.

Also announced that instead of being considered part of Phase 4 as it formerly was, Fantastic Four will start Phase 6 of the MCU.
