I hate recasts.

I understand it isn’t a recast, but having the same actor in multiple roles in the same universe is essentially the same thing.

I want the same people who gave Fox shit for the Fan-4-stic movie name to do the same to Marvel here. Movie title looks like it spells out 3LAJE

"3 large? Okay, do you want fries with that?"

I don't think shooting had begun
Even if it had, the change doesn't mean it will be a bad movie. There are a lot of examples where such changes help. But any major change in production levels at the level of director most often lead to poor results.

Let's cross our fingers and hope they pull out a good one!

Well, the odds just shifted to this reboot being a complete shitshow.

Replacing a director midstream is never a good harbringer of quality.
Sometimes it does work though, Edgar Wright was replaced during the production of Antman 1 and that movie turned out to be a ton of fun and really enjoyable.

I dont have high hopes for this movie. Blade 2 is one of my favorite movies and to make a good blade movie I think you would have to have vulgarity, some nudity, some drugs, blood, killing, cursing all of which I doubt Disney would make happen and all these woke marvel shows/movies tells me they are going to ruin this.

Is Wesley going to at least make a cameo? Watching any Blade now is going to be disappointing just like an new XMen movie that has a new Wolverine. The old Blade tv series they attempted was actually pretty good but Blade wasn’t Snipes so it didn’t seem like the real guy. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the only series that I can think that recast the original character and went on to become successful.

The Buffy series was successful because it was more true to Whedon’s vision than the movie. Whedon never liked the movie and thought the execs killed what it was supposed to be.

I hope they scrap this whole project this is looking to be a disaster. Anytime I feel movies get pushed back and change directors usually ends up being terrible.

Can anyone please explain how killing a dead person is exciting.

It's worse than trying to suck more blood out of a rock with a twist on Dracula.

Carry a UV light and it's a different kind of day or night.
