Rodgers'll probably stick around for a couple more seasons, bounce around the NFL for a bit, retire and unretire a couple times. Hopefully Love develops over the next couple years. The NFL is better when Green Bay is a contender.

Maybe 10% of college QBs can start their rookie year against NFL defenses and be decent, so this brings us closer to when Rodgers is too old or too broken to plausibly be the starter. He'll hold clipboards the first year and learn something hopefully. The back end-loaded 2 years of his contract start in 2022 and can't realistically be paid out anyway.

Base salary is $25 million though. That's gotta be renegotiated or the guy's a cut. I'd be completely shocked if Rodgers can suit up for more than 25 games over the next two years.
