Jordan Love ... first round pick!
Jordan Love play quarterbackJordan Love ... first round pick!
Need someone to take over after he retires though. 15 year vet who is injury prone.I bet Rodgers is thrilled the Packers moved up for a first-round QB while they're in win-now mode at this point in his career.
Ouch is what people say when something hurts

With that said, Aaron has 4 years left on his contract. Oof.
Trading up to get Love?
Someone fed them some shit and they took the bait.
In comparison, Love, the Packers backup QB with massive upside will make less than half of what Detroits backup, Chase Daniel will make.
Ugh...
Been overdue now for a couple of years. Maybe 10% of college QBs can start their rookie year against NFL defenses and be decent, so this brings us closer to when Rodgers is too old or too broken to plausibly be the starter. He'll hold clipboards the first year and learn something hopefully. The back end-loaded 2 years of his contract start in 2022 and can't realistically be paid out anyway.Jordan Love ... first round pick!

Base salary is $25 million though. That's gotta be renegotiated or the guy's a cut. I'd be completely shocked if Rodgers can suit up for more than 25 games over the next two years.I heard on the local radio that in Love's 4th year Rodgers cap # will be like $2 million

There's gotta be a better backup plan than DeShone Kizer, Brett Hundley or Tim Boyle.
