Quit checking me out.
I think these other conferences play 9 games to hide from the G5 conferences and possible upsets. They need them for the 6 extra wins it provides them.
I thought you were against losing home games? So why are you for them losing home games? Pick a side. Are these your flip flops?neutral site games get paid every year, what's the issue?

9 game conference schedules have absolutely no effect on quality out of conference games. Anyone trying to say otherwise is stupid. The economics are better for the neutral sites plus it's good exposure for recruiting. We need more not less good neutral site games.

No, people who claim that 8 game conference schedules mean we get more quality OOC games are stupid too.But people who claim 8 game conferences schedules do aren't stupid?
You typed that with your tongue in your cheek didn't you.I think these other conferences play 9 games to hide from the G5 conferences and possible upsets. They need them for the 6 extra wins it provides them.
I didn't say that...I said the economics and logistics for neutral site games are better than home and home.9 game conference schedules have absolutely no effect on quality out of conference games. Anyone trying to say otherwise is stupid.
You lose again. I started this thread ... hence the article in the OP to show that the B1G was being hypocrites by allowing Fresno St. to count as a P5 team. You really should stay away from threads like these seeing how you have to think first before posting.God damn it... I asked a simple and reasonable question...
OP started this thread to troll about the B1G's scheduling practices, now it's evolved into ripping the SEC. So, who has it right @AlaskaGuy?
You have 3 other conferences to choose from...

Now you're talking! Preach on brother. More OOC games, not less. Invite the less fortunate into the stadiums for the slaughter. My team will go anywhere and get slaughtered for a cool million.
And only schedule the conference teams that are worth a damn. They've been sucking off the good conference team's tits for too long.

You said we need more quality neutral site games. We need more quality non conference games regardless of the location. An 8 game or a 9 game conference schedule has no effect on that unless the University is choosing to duck quality games.I didn't say that...I said the economics and logistics for neutral site games are better than home and home.
Separate issues. Your trying to make them one and put words in my mouth...doesn't work that way. My statement stands as it is with no add on conditions. You said we need more quality neutral site games. We need more quality non conference games regardless of the location. An 8 game or a 9 game conference schedule has no effect on that unless the University is choosing to duck quality games.
There are teams that choose to play 2 quality non conference games (or what should be quality). Michigan State was supposed to play Alabama and Notre Dame but ended up with BYU instead of Bama. USC has Notre Dame and Bama this year. When is the last time Florida played a quality OOC team not wasn't FSU or Miami? This is actually true for some teams, but not all. the SEC and ACC on the east coast have some rivalries that happen every year. Florida vs FSU, Clemson vs South Carolina, Georgia vs GT, etc. For these teams, going to 9 conference games probably would decrease the quality of their OOC schedule because they are much less likely to schedule the 2nd P5 OOC game most of them schedule today. In a 12 game season, that means these teams would be playing 11 P5 games every year. More likely is that they will stop scheduling that 11th P5 game.
So what exactly is your reason for following me around on this board day after day, post after post?I think we all lose in this thread...
You're not gonna answer the question then?
