Nets' front office is delusional. He's a 3 (2 at best) on a contender. Great player, but unless they can draw a superstar to join him, they'll continue to be mediocre at best.

The Nets FO has been delusional for years. Even when they do make the moves they find a way to screw it up. They reportedly declined 2 1st’s for DFS. Offered 4 for Bridges. I get it, you want to try to find a star next to him to see if it works. How many times have they tried this with failed attempts? You declined 4 1st’s then you end up taking less down the road bc he either wants out, contract is up or their plan didn’t work. Underrated bad FO

WTH? Vogel was the only short-term coach in recent history to win a championship with the Lakers. How does the many short-term coaches the Lakers have had NOT hurt the trophy count? Excluding Vogel, (and long-term coaches Jackson and Riley), which short-term coaches have won a Lakers championship? The answer: ZERO. That definitely affects the Championship Trophy for sure!!

Meanwhile, with all likelihood, the Celtics will forge ahead of the Lakers with their 18th Championship soon (perhaps tonight). While the Lakers are mired in what appears to be ownership/FO dysfunction again, the Celtics have built a Championship team that may string together a couple more.

Because in the vast majority of cases, those short term coaches were dealing with rosters that had no chance at adding to the trophy count.

True indeed tlance. Point taken and understood but all those years of futility in short-term coaches and crappy-ass rosters resulted in no trophies and that is a dire not-wanted consequence that did affect the trophy count-No new additions! Granted, no trophies were lost but no new ones were added.
