Even if it is Lebron.. The dude is gonna be 40. LOL. Time to move on. Don't let him call all the shots. Father time is greater than Lebron is still is at his age. Father time has never lost a game. I don't know why they keep catering to the guy.. Yes he'll bring eyes, but forget about 'ships. Its sailed until you bring in a young superstar to run the team to go with AD.

Lebron is in for a HUGE decline as well here shortly. He can't keep going at this level. The Big 3 in tennis (Who are greater at tennis than Lebron is at basketball (Nadal, Djokovic, Federer) look at how quick that decline came for all 3 guys. When you hit around 40 you're fucked and the decline is abrupt an acute. I don't care how many drugs Lebron is doing, when you; hit 40 its goes. LOL. Start lobbying for guys like Edwards/Wenbanyama or something

I've only seen one dude that can handle sports at 40 plus and stay dominant doing it. .. John Brzenk in arm wrestling.. And that doesn't require running

Like I have stated before, the Buss Family model of running an NBA franchise in today's Professional Sports world is no longer relevant. They should sell the team to somebody who understands how to have a franchise that is: a) Competitive; b) Knows how to formulate a winning roster that has as its goal of winning a championship; and c) Knows how to locate competent coaches who can facilitate the process.

1-They are not selling.

2-Those are not easy to find. Look at Matt Ishbia and the Suns. LOL.

What? Yea it makes sense in light of the failures the Lakers have had in a number of areas including rosters, HC's, and winning championships since Phil left and Kobe died.

IDK about this assertion. The Bates kicker from the UFL may be a better more consistent kicker. Bates can consistently kick 60-yarders in games and we could get him as a UDFA.

I'm done expecting the decline, just like with Brady. Hell, Brady could probably still be playing, just decided not to. When it finally comes, fine.

40 is an arbitrary number. Case by case basis makes more sense. Some players are washed far earlier. It especially doesn't make sense across different sports.

Bates was a kickoff specialist in college. Accuracy is more important than range IMO, I'll take Karty (and I hate using draft picks on kickers/punters).

All they really need to do is hire a worthy President Of Basketball Operations to take the basketball decisions out of the hands of Jeanie and her former agent GM. There's more to this than numbers and hiring your friends.

Precisely Shopson. That is why I have been advocating that the Buss Family sell the Lakers to someone who doesn't run it that way, because that way is killing this franchise through a slow death!

Jeanie Buss should go do a Mea Culpa to Jerry West who would turn the Lakers around in a heartbeat! That is if he still wants to be GM!

Love Jerry, but he's 85 and has been an advisor for a while. Not sure he wants a GM role at this point, and of course it couldn't be long term.

Christian Wood just picked up his player option for 2024-25, so he will be back pretty cheaply next season.

In all honesty the coach won't matter if we don't have the right personnel.

I know we aren't making any additions before a new HC is hired but Pelinka has to figure out who he is targeting in FA and a possible trade or 2. That will determine next season more than the HC IMO.
